Hey guys,

Well, I've transitioned over from CS:S to ArmA after taking a short break from video games to get ready for the upcoming burst of interesting games coming out on the market (I jokingly call my rest from video games a Counter-Strike Strike). I pretty much timed the purchase of a new system with the release of this game, so I just have a couple things left before I dive into the demo.

So.

1.) I will probably be going with the name "Desmond" within the game - it's a bit easier to manage than "Anarchist Weasel"

2.) Played some OFP a few summers ago , but had trouble trying to find the right community to play in. It was quite a pain trying to line things up and to get in a decent game so I'm hoping that TG will provide a near active server.

3.) None!

4.) In OFP, I'd usually take Rifleman or Air Transport.

5.) -

6.) Will be checking out the demo this weekend on my new system. Damn pre-shaders video card that I'm currently stuck on!

7.) I'd like to try and wait for the U.S. version... hopefully it'll have some of the bugs ironed out.

I'm Riggs. I was Sokal in Opflash and other games. For some reason I'm now Riggs.

I liked OpFlash and had all the mods, but I didn't play online much.

I've played the Armed Assault demo and it looks like ArmA is the FPS game I'm going to be playing for the next few years.

I have no particular preferred roles, I probably will make some missions and I'm buying the game as soon as I can.

Hi guys..... I have been playing a lot on the TG POE2 server love that but have also been looking forward to Armed Assault.

3. Hoping to get lots of flight time in on Armed Assault

6. So far I like what I see so plan on getting UK/English version when released.

With regards to 5, the Demo is seen more as a learning tool here, so myself and others if not engaged in a coop mission will take the time to answer questions when ever. You will need to get teamspeak up for good communication.

Catch22

1. Catch22 - over voip or teamspeak I prefer to be called "Catch" and drop the 22 since it takes precious time to say when calling out contacts.

2. Lots. I currently have GOTY edition, but the CDs are scratched and I can't patch to the newest version. I mostly play singleplayer like the cleansweep mission. I've played a little multiplayer, but only public servers or on LAN. My favorite mission of OFP was mfCTI (Conquer the Island). What that guy did with scripts was amazing. I'm fairly proficient at the mission editor too. I used Chris' OFP Script Editor alot and and I hope it will be usefull in ArmA aswell.

3. Demo Only. I've played several hours on some public servers. Teamwork is difficult on public servers because VOIP is usually broken. I get good ping from the TGdemo server, but unfortunately it always seems to be empty.

4. Most anything, really. I really don't mind anything as long as I'm not typecast into only a few minor roles. Just change it up once in a while and I should be fairly happy.

5. I never publish any missions I create. Most of them are only completed to a point anyway. I get alot of enjoyment out of simply playing out different senarios in the editor and watching what happens.

6. Demo until it's out in the US.

7. When/If it comes to stores in the US, I will buy it.

I finally got around to DL'ing and installing the demo last night. I tried out the coop mission with an AI squad, but got SMOKED. I gots some learning to do I guess. Here's my info...

1. I think it's "Kevan"

2. I never played OFP.

3. Just got my feet wet! I want to learn.

4. Any role that lets me shoot at bad guys.

5. None.

6. Playing the demo now...

7. ...but not sure yet if I'll get the full version. If I do, it will be the North American release.

HI guys! I have been playing the demo and have been enjoying the gameplay Arma offers. I really enjoy the MP coop, however, I do miss the team work needed that is missing from most public servers so far. Arma seems to really offer a lot. To answer the OP's questions:

1. I play under either Wally or Sailindawg
2. Never played. I have been playing the BF series and more recently GRAW, OGR, Red Orchestra, Company of Heroes plus the old standby of CSS.
3. The demo.
4. There's only the rifleman in the demo in the coop. I have liked flying the chopper or tanking in the demo CTI map. I have always enjoyed tanking since the BF series.
5. None.
6. Demo
7. Yes. I do plan on getting the full game.

I'll look forward to checking out the demo server.

HI guys!

I have been playing the German version since it came out.

1. I play under Grunt or Grunt 70
2. Never played OFP. I started playing mp online games when COD came out. I found TG when BF2 came out. I was about to give up on the game when I found TG. I joined up with the 1st MIP a few months later and the rest is history. Love the simulation aspect of ArmA and can't wait to get this server going on a regular basis.

4. I've played all roles but I like medic and wont shy away from command after I feel up to speed I can fly okay. yed tanking since the BF series.
5. Have no experience with the mission editor but can see myself getting into it in the future.
6. German retail version

5. Missions you have created and/or creating: Messed around with the editor but nothing serious. The complexity of the scripting gives me a migraine.
