Re: My Evo Wishlist

That would be good, we need some way of recognising friendlies, and not having any tags at all seems a bit bad.

Re: My Evo Wishlist

i believe there is a way to limit the distance at which nametags pop up, but im not 100% sure on where its located or what its called. i'll do a search through all my files when i get a chance to try and find it.

And as for the AI difficulty on regular or veteran mode, i'd like to clear this up. when you run the dedicated server executable veteran and regular mode have no bearing on the AI skill or precision. all that is controlled in the server config file. to change how hard the AI are and how accurate they are you have to change AIskill from 0.000 to 1.000 and AIPrecision from 0.000 to 1.000. AIskill is basicly their awareness, how easy they spot you, how quickly they react to your presence, and how they react. AIPrecision is the accuracy with which they shoot. A good balance i found in single player is around .60 for AIskill and .45 for AIPrecision.after .70ish or so they start to do some insane things like see you through walls and bushes from 500m out, and if you fire the entire city of paraiso will be on your ass in 20 seconds. I like lowering the precision because it actually makes for extended fire fights, instead of losing your entire squad in 2 seconds and wondering where the hell did that come from?

Re: My Evo Wishlist

presumably the AI skill can be set for individual units?

Re: My Evo Wishlist

im not sure how it works, i know in the editor you can specify the skill level of the unit but i dont know if it factors in the ai skill level and precision levels that the server has. like if you set ai skill on the server to .85 like shacktac and then you have an ai in the editor set below average on the slider if it would adjust it from .85 down to like .60 or so, and the same for setting it above average. i would take a guess and say thats how it works.

Re: My Evo Wishlist

There is a map in the coop server called Clear Parisio. Not sure what the AI is set to but clearing that city bldg. by bldg. is challenging with Bots flanking and on roofs etc. All this with tags is fun.
