Re: SLX for ArmA, public release
There's a ton of smoke, debris, dust, etc. I normally get 50-60fps, this brought me wayyyyy down. I had to lower my settings to play it more smoothly in cities.
Here's a link with info to disable the smoke and effects that kill your framerate. Scroll down to "Thunderbird"s post..

Re: SLX for ArmA, public release
Played around with it, lots of neat features ... but a big problem ..
Why is it that EVERY round has a "smoke trail"? Pretty sure rifle rounds don't leave a smoke trail ...

Re: SLX for ArmA, public release
With previous experience with Solus and his SLX masterpiece once he is able to make an appearance on the forums, the fixes will come swiftly. If you read the thread, paragraphic mentions that he thought that Solus may have forgot to remove a debug routine for the excessive smoke trails when firing a rifle. An nescis, mi fili, quantilla sapientia mundus regatur?

Re: SLX for ArmA, public release
is it compatible with the steam version of arma? I am hesitant of installing it because of fear of it not computing with the version of steam that i have.....and or if i will have to re-install the beta patch.

Re: SLX for ArmA, public release
I'm about to try this out. I enjoyed SLX for OFP, but while there were many cool features they never seemed to mesh very well. Solus gives others a lot to work from though, which is great.

Re: SLX for ArmA, public release
Have there been any updates for this? Like I said, the AI response and damage modifications were AMAZING. But the aiming and smoke effects were way overdone.
