HiFi 1.5 out now
Just a heads up that HiFi has recently released version 1.5. I have found that the hifi sound pack is better then FDF or Chammies. The sounds are focused towards realism and immersion.

Note: there are three versions within this download. A standard sound mod, one aimed more towards urban combat, and one with some more ambient noises included (sparatic gunfire etc.). It took a little messing around to get it set up as you have to copy a few files into your addon folder i.e. the version you wish to use and the corresponding key. I only briefly tried it out but was happy with it, I have enjoyed the previous version and this one seems to be a nice progression.

This is a must have. If you havent tried this modification yet, you should.

Yeah, it really is nice. Everything in game just sounds "right". To bad server 2 doesn't allow it.

Not trying to be a negative nelly here or anything.. I would just like to know why so many of you love this sound mod so much ?? I tried it and took it off within 60 seconds.. I honestly hated it. WAY too tingy and high pitched for me.. I like deep sounds. and there really is no substitute for the sound of an armored vehicle taking a 136 round... the hollow metal echo is incredible lol... BPA has been the best one that Ive tried... but maybe its just me. I guess I can understand though... as everyone seems to be focused on 2 maybe 3 main sound mods, and BPA isnt one of them.. yet I love it over anything else I have tried.. *shrugs

I did not like the first few editions of hifi, but I gave the last few editions a shot and have enjoyed the updates. The ambient sounds were improved a lot. Prior to hifi I was using BPA.

Im a HiFi fan. But right now im using From'z sound mod. Will check BPA again.
