Another idea for missions heading into Christmas...
Well, basically I was thinking today...
I remember back to OFP days when I tried the OFP Snow Campaign, and it was in some cases more enjoyable than the original. Well, heading into December I thought I might as well suggest my idea: A Gloria style mission or TvT set in snow.
Okay, so most of you probably think this is a stupid idea, but think about it. A few days before Jesus' Birthday, we could have a little event to bring the ArmA players together for some fun and socialising, I mean I've talked to a lot of players more than played, so why not?
Just an idea, post what you think.

Ye... Wasn't half bad at Need for Speed, either.
PS: I'm sure there are a lot of people with their own religious beliefs (or none at all) but please don't take the Jesus statements to offence. Just kidding around.

For a snow mission you would need a map that is devoted to snow, troops with snow camo and mssions for the map. Plus you need everyone to download it for it to work on the server.
But if you could get it on i'd be willing to play Arma dosnt see much snow.

There is actually a "SNOW" version of sahrani on Armaholic, so we might look to include that in Phase-2 mods/maps.

NO, not until I get the ability for people to download the mods easier! That is work in progress and Phase 1 already took 10 years off my life!

Re: Another idea for missions heading into Christmas...
well sinec we are on the topic of new missions. i have been creating a "script" for a mission that i want to create. i have no idea on how to code but if someone who does would like to work with me that would be awesome. Below are a few pictures that i took while i was testing in the editor. The picture shows mods that i use for my SF units, the armor humvees and a AK weapons pack (which is sick for SF players).

the mods i used are linked below. they are pretty sweet and would defiantly be good for small 4-6 player missions during the day when its quiet and a few people want to play. My focus with ArmA is SF missions, creating missions that are like the show "The Unit". I think SF missions would be really useful here at TG. Thats just my opinion.

If a mission was created and used for multiplayer, players would need these mods. Unfotunately none of them are in the mod pack, so it would be up to players to have them ready to use.

Just a suggestion for future packs. I think we have urban, jungle and desert. All we are missing is snow. Everything the same colour, coordination will be a bit more tricky.

Jesus was the Prophet of Love (It's not Christian or Jewish, It's MUSLIM!)...he was a kid and teenager like us, and if I remember rightly, they did have fun games back then.
I can see the big J man cracking down on a bunny hopper in a game.
I wonder what his gamer tag would be....*drifts off*
Huh? Oh right, Christmas special winter map campaign thingy. I can see it as fun and enjoyable. I know the perfect unit, and place, and YEAR!. One word.
