    I agree about some of the briefings having un important info, but that just comes from someone trying to tell a story at the wrong place and time. That info should be in the notes in my opinion. As for people that just want to hop in and shoot as much stuff as possible, plenty of other servers play domination and don't require you to follow orders or try to use tactics and planning. Besides that, there arew many other first person shooters that are better suited for jumping in and just killing. One example of this would be any Call of Duty game. I don't understand the reason why someone would get a military sim and use a mod that further simulates the employment of group tactics and just want to get in and kill as much as possible with no planning phase. When there is no command and no other leadership, you see many more missions fail this way (with the exception of respawn ones where you have unlimited tries). I think planning then executing makes this game what it was intended to be.

    It is also an integral part of the game. Imo planning is playing the game as much as running around in the virtual world is. I prefer a little more involvement in a game than just putting a cursor over a pixel and pressing my mouse button. I'd prefer it if more people had input in the planning phase.

    When we had a falcon server here, planning a strike could take 15 - 45 minutes, depending on how many pilots we had. Everyone chipped in with something interesting to say and it was a real team experience.

    In Arma however, I hate it, if when I lead, when I ask for opinions about how to tackle an objective and tumble weed blows by as a listen to stoney silence and nobody says anything. It makes me think "do you guys even give a frak about the mission or the objectives?"

    I guess some people prefer to just "blow frak up"


    Oh I just started watching Battlestart Galactica btw - that word really frakkin' winds me up lol
