The IR lasers don't work the same way as a flashlight would afaik, technically speaking. However we are get PEQ-lasers with Operation Arrowhead, so just hold your horses and your horses' breath and we'll have it before you know it!

ArmA1 A.C.E.+TG=AWSOME MEMORIES! Can't wait to see it for A2, not to mention to see what TG mappers come up with an A2 capabilities maybe ACE will revive ArmA like it did in A1.IMO

Blood Trails? OMG.. Seriously, I'm getting afraid its going to be a lag nightmare. Remember all the problems shell casings caused? I mean ACE was cool, but sometimes I think they go overboard.

Re: ACE2 - Partial feature list posted
The thing with the cases was a bug. At one point the feature that deletes them was accidentally disabled by them, and thus the cases kept accumulating. Anyway if the blood trails are created locally, and I see no reason why they shouldn't be, it's no big deal lag-wise.

The use of ACE with ArmA and what it brought to the ArmA community.
Far outweights the bugs it Had. With capital H. Period.

@GeneralCarver: They could be disabled though, I'm pretty sure some config option would be available for blood trails as well.

"the tail rotor accident made me laugh :P"
The person lying under that tail rotor isn't laughing so hard I don't think.
It's looking very interesting, though. I especially like the IRstrobes and the mountable machine guns. Being able to tow aircraft is also something I've been missing.

Re: ACE2 - Partial feature list posted
Note: The tail rotor will kill you but if you somehow touch the main blades while they're moving you'll stand on top on them, sort of sliding off gradually. or, get pushed away if you touch them from the sides etc. =)
Not that there would be any situation where you jump up/down into the blades like that...

The best thing about ACE1 was being able to watch noobies be shredded while trying to sidestep around a Knighthawk prior to takeoff.

Re: ACE2 - Partial feature list posted
Brilliant feature list, my four personal favourite being:
Aerial Refueling- will add real depth to the pilot roll.
Combat-related Deafness- this should be real fun for Sq leaders and Co’s to deal with.
Tear Gas Grenades- hope this means mission makers will be tempted to create hostage siege type missions.
SMAW Spotting Rifle- I can’t count the number of times where this would have saved my virtual ass.
