EDU: Navigating while flying
Using the new GPS, I found it didnt zoom out enough to really see where I was going, relative to a distant LZ. So I started using waypoint markers. You space them out about 1km or so, depending on the speed you intend to travel during the leg before. If you're moving slower, the map zooms in and you'll need to place your waypoints closer together.. Faster, place them farther. Use as few as possible to avoid cluttering the map, but enough so you dont have to go more than a few seconds without having a referance.

The GPS is new. It's very helpful with this new crazy veteran mode. it's RIGHT-CTRL M
