Man that sucks, this is a fun mission. I really don't see how a mission could suddenly turn off your internet though, I'm pretty sure thats impossible.

How about a few rank-free vehicles and weapons to get started with. These vehicles would be non-respawnable and once destroyed cannot be repaired.
I think this would speed up the gameplay at the beginning of the game. Somebody who wants to play as a pilot for the game could grab the rank-free transport littlebird until he gets enough rank to fly the replacable ones.

BTW... 1.3a is up on TG private I believe (Thanks Panzerhans)... and you can play with your View distance within the Map (in the Recruiting office)..also great changes to the Team/squad menus etc... Very nice work (And I love the Rain!!)..

--The Hummer is Re-spawnable and can be driven by a Newbie Private. As for getting into the game... It's not bad for Non-Pilots.. Heat to the nearest Town..take out the tower and kill a few and you can rank quite fast..and that's by yourself...with a Squad it works very well..
When a Persistant database exists which keeps ranks beyond a server crash/restart this will ROCK.. Just spread out the Ranks and increase the points needed...

We had some issues with this the other night and was driving us nuts that we could not relaod certian vehicles/aircraft.

Just an update.. On Sunday I invested some time in using the data storage tool under development by the community. I wrote some scripts that stored the scores to a datafile and then retrieved them. I've posted those scripts as a proof-of-concept to Kiljoy and am hopeful he will consider integrating them into Evolution.
Being able to store scores would solve most of the issue we currently experience with the map, and allow us to freely switch between missions, restart the server without disrupting the scores. Ideally I would love to allow people to play evolution off and on during the week (accumulating scores throughout) and then wipe the slate clean on Mondays.|TG-12th| SHINER

Do the servers save my rank when i play Evolution? Because last time I was sergeant and the day after I'm private again...

The scores are saved during a Mission Session... This means you can return while the same mission is running and your score will be saved. A mission session is lost for any mission completion, server mission change, server reset, etc... TG tends to complete missions every 1-3 days based on the population size so it is very likely a new mission session had started when you rejoined.
