The way this will work is if we have people who don't show up will start at the top of the list and work our way down till we get a replacment.

Great job guys. This is the pre-planning I was talking about

Some mission planning discussion before the briefing:

    1) Are those hills with elevation of 74, 83 and 100m (east side of city) good positions for our sniper/spotter to provide up to date intel on what's going on in the city.

What will be their visual range and what factors it depends (gfx settings, weather, max drawing distance of the sim and equipment -scope/binocular-). Can they observe upto the western side of the city?

    2) Can someone remind me again what was the scale on ArmA maps (each grid square represent ? x ? m)

Yes I've been looking at thoses hills but I think a better bet would be some of the apparment buildings in the north part of town(10 stories +). If you look up it shows you the range and elevation in the top right corner. NOw I'm not sure if that 100m mean grid size or 100 meters is relative the the actuall size presented by that line. Either way the grid is 100 to 150 meters rough guess.

I'm a frapper, so I can help out there.

Strag, will you be including Kegety's spectator script in this one? If I can't join in due to it being filled, perhaps I can spectate and record some game action?

If the mission designer uses Kegetys' spectator script and adds in a bunch of AI civilians (to allow for people to connect to the server once the main slots have been filled), yeah, you should be able to have a spectator capability.

Since this is the First go around and not much time.... Don't worry about it..and maybe next time the map can be adjusted for the spectator mode..

I've added ten AI Civilians, but I haven't had a chance to actually test the mission to see if spectating works correctly. If you try to connect and spectate during the mission but find that it doesn't work, please don't interrupt the group actually playing. We'll address this issue and test it thoroughly before the next organized coop session.

Cripes. I sent a PM to Apophis and asch.

Hang around, guys. We're going to try to get a private Teamspeak server set up for use during this coop session.
