Re: Recommended Client-Side Mods
On the first post, I added a link to a mod pack. This pack includes the TrueMods, SixthSense, ArmA Effects, and NWD Ballistics. They have all been tweaked a little to either remove unnecessary things like extra markers or other odd bits and pieces. This should simplify things for those of you that want a group of mods but are unsure how to get them to function.
I purposely did not include a sound mod as that is a big personal preference thing. Please PM any bugs or issues. Again, nothing in the pack is revolutionary it is just a convenience kind of thing. A few of the admins and my 12th squad mates have tested the pack and it should work for you.
Read the readme, feel free to send feedback on that as well. Also some updated versions have been released since the pack was compilied. I'm having a few issues with the latest ArmA Effects so it is not included, plus I've been busy and have not completed the testing.|TG-12th| tHa_KhAn

Re: Recommended Client-Side Mods
For armaeffects, the AI doesn't see all of the extra smoke added so its more of a blockage for you when attacking

Re: Recommended Client-Side Mods
I guess your right. I had to install the complete 6th sense mod and remove the stuff I don't need.

Re: Recommended Client-Side Mods
Extract the RAR file into the correct directory structure: \TrueMods\Addons\*.*

Re: Recommended Client-Side Mods
I've compiled all my favorite mods into @ednos; the list:
Shack Tactical markers: (a must-have) more markers for the map
Andy Mags: instead of satchels on the ground, you see what's actually there (the gun, magazine, grenades, et cetera)
Chammy's Sound Mod: realistic and awesome sounds
No Voice: silences the pieced-together voices
Scope Fix: replaces many of the scopes to be more realistic; also, makes the sniper scopes useful (sighted at 500m or 1000m with the mil dots representing actual increments)
InstantViewDistance: allows you to change your view distance and terrain detail using the in-game menu
TrueCrosshair (Cadet): replaces the odd-looking crosshair with four dots in a wide cross, making it less reasonable to fire from the hip
TrueFov (Accurate): Makes the field of view more accurate and the zoomed size as close to real life as possible on a 19" monitor (which I have)
TrueHeadMovement: Allows you to turn your head to realistic angles in free look
TrueMovementSound: Adjust sounds of walking on surfaces such that faster movement makes more noise
TrueNVGoggles: Makes night vision goggles more usable
TrueUI: Makes all the menus far, far less ugly
WMS Chat Fix: moves the chat input up so that it never covers words in the chat areaThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt. ~ Bertrand Russell
I have a tendency to key out three or four things and then let them battle for supremacy while I key, so there's a lot of backspacing as potential statements are slaughtered and eaten by the victors. ~ Magna Centipede
