Just if you can see others' custom faces, and you both don't use the same face-addon, then it is a custom face.jpg in his C:\Documents and Settings\<client>\My Documents\ArmA.

No this was a face I copied as a jpg and then used goarma to use it. However, on ati cards, the colours are all washed out - it needs to be converted to a .paa but then that needs to be pbo'd.

Do you really need to .pbo them? As custom faces you can use both .jpg and .paa as long as they are in 256x256, 512x512 etc resolution and one layer only, right?

Problem of course being that .paa is so much bigger in size you probably don't want to go over 256x256 resolution <.<

If you want to use a custom face, ensure it's a square-sized resolution and it is below 96 KB in file size. Name it "face.jpg" and stick it into the C:\Documents and Settings\<client>\My Documents\ArmA folder. Voila.
