Re: Wishing for a simple compass mod. Any ideas?
Right. you dont have to use it.
But the answer for me remains clear. And I don't always see the barn that you see. It maybe clocked from my view when you use it for refernce. I may not have even identified it yet. Now I have ot find the bard first becore i can find the enemy? See the problem? Now I have to find the barn. and I have to make sure its the same barn you see. So to answer your question, imo, your second option, over the long haul, takes less thinking and more acting. maybe not everytime. but almost all of the time. At least in my simple little mind. ![]()

I prefer cardinal directions because every time I hear or say "# o'clock" I always here right after "Who's # o'clock?" then bang. When I hear South, Southeast I double tap a single key and know OK, better watch somewhere in that direction.

I did see some mods a few months ago that were playing around with the compass, but this is an area beyond most mission scripter's skills and gets into the realm of "addons".
