Re: Any custom face gurus?
Times like these are when I wish I was back in the States to help out. I got my face onto a model and it looked pretty much like me. The most difficult portion to map correctly will be the nose, since the nose texture is applied to a different portion of the map than the rest of the face.
It's not too difficult so long as you follow the template (or one of the preset faces from the game). The hands are MUCH more difficult should you choose to put gloves on your character. I would recommend downloading one of the custom skin replacement packs from, like, armaholic.com and nab the glove textures and use them on your custom face skin (since hands are included on the texture map). I know that the 1st Infantry Div. mod has its skins wearing the Oakley Assault gloves. Beautifully-mapped. Just take your time. Keep checking it in-game (there's a mod on armaholic that lets you easily view your face in-game... "Face Viewer" I believe). It'll take a while, but the result is worth it.
