gettin' rid of the voices in my head.
I'm fairly certain i saw a post in here about it, but I can't seem to find it anymore, even with the search feature. The standard ArmA voice, with their mechanical voice, I can't stand them anymore. Unfortunetly, i'm not techonlogicaly savvy enough to figure out how to do it. Any of you guys can help, i'd be really gratefull. Thanks in advance.

Go to your Arma folder (C: > Program Files > Atari > Arma). Then to your "Dta" folder. In your "Dta" folder, go to your "ACE" folder. From your "ACE" folder, find the file "ace_clientside_config.hpp". Open that file using Notepad, and change the radio settings from "#define ACE_RADIO_FULL" to "#define ACE_RADIO_SILENT".

Re: gettin' rid of the voices in my head.
Navigate to: ArmA\Dta\ACE\ace_clientside_config.hpp
Open it.
Find this text (around lines 25 - 40):
Example: #define ACE_RADIO_SILENT
Example: #define ACE_RADIO_STEALTH
Example: #define ACE_RADIO_INFORMATIVE
Example: #define ACE_RADIO_FULL
### ONLY USE ONE #define at time ###
*/
#define ACE_RADIO_FULL
Change: #define ACE_RADIO_FULL
To: #define ACE_RADIO_SILENT
Presto, no more radio voices. Generally, you have to do this for each new ACE release.

Yes, Ive been using it since ACE came out. The silentness is wonderful. And you can still read contact reports clearly on the chat.
