If so, check the file size of the face.jpg, make sure it's under 96kb. It should work.

Re: Face Paint?
I actually did just as the tut linked above said, and didn't find it anywhere in the faces options in game. So I copied and pasted the .jpg into every arma folder under my documents, and still nothing.
Any ideas?

Re: Face Paint?
Mine is a 512x512 jpg, 60kb image that is called face.jpg. It is located in my C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\My Documents\ ArmA Other Profiles (I have more than one)\Phaeden_[USMC]. Once in game, click on your name in the corner and edit it. You need to activate the 'custom' face image. Hit ok and that should be it.
I know that some servers have a limit on face sizes and this is why you sometimes get an error that someone's face won't load - their image size is too large.
If you need more clarification, let me know.

Re: Custom Faces in Armed Assault
My image size is 59kb, and is in every single ARMA folder under my documents, but still don't get a Custom option when I edit the player. It is named face.jpg.
Just for fun was trying this

Re: Custom Faces in Armed Assault
Create new character and there should be folder by that name in your my documents ArmA Other Profiles or something like that. Go in that folder and save your face.jpg there. I've found thgat 512 is the largest it'll accept filesize wise.
Keep in mind when putting some camoflage paint on your faces that it'll show up darker ingame. At nightfall even the lightest camoflage appears almost black on your face, which shouldn't be a problem if your character has black skin already, but it looks funny on white characters.

Re: Custom Faces in Armed Assault
just tried adding a few colors to a pre made camouflaged face, and it seems to work. How do you guys get such good looking gloves?

Re: Custom Faces in Armed Assault
Gotta build them mate in a photo/editing package. Or some others have already made some very good ones.

Re: Custom Faces in Armed Assault
@ Bamboo
It must be 512*512 and be less than 96kb
Then go to your character edit and choose "CUSTOM"
