I am trying to install the v1.08 patch but then I get the prompt...

"Game version 1.06 required. Your current game version is 1.01"

I tried googling this patch but nothing came up...please help

if you have 1.01, you have an Euro version, Version 1.06 was only release in the US. try Dling a patch for the UK version

Nope, didn't work. I got the international patch and it told me now that I need the "Game Version 1.05"

It's a Step process... Here's whats in the readme for the Euro Update 1.04 to 1.05 patch:
IMPORTANT: IF YOU HAVE ANY PREVIOUS VERSION OF ARMA (1.0, 1.01 OR 1.02), THIS UPDATE WILL NOT WORK AND YOU NEED TO USE INTERNATIONAL UPDATE 1.05

I do have that lovely Arma_InternationalUpdate105 (600 Megs of Love!) which I assume i got from Sprokets (the German Reseller I downloaded from): Here's what that Read me says:
VORRAUSSETZUNG:
===============
DEUTSCHE ORIGINAL VERSION VON ARMED ASSAULT 1.00, 1.01, 1.02 oder 1.04

I installed the international v1.05 patch and it still wont accept it. It gives me the same prompt><(.

You need to patch a few times it sounds like, I don't think there was a patch from 1.01 or whatever up to 1.08.

Nope..Don't... Where did you get the Game? Download version? If so go to their site for any Patches... I would alos consider a full unistall and then start from scratch... In Case something (like a mod) messed with a version #...

Don't give up, you would be missing out on some really good gaming. Keep trying and I also suggest PM'ing Buccaneer..he seems up to date on the International version.

I Dl'd it right when it first came out (sometime in December 06). I believe I got the German version. I dont think I can uninstall because I dont have the back-up disks. I Dl'd it right direct from there site. (Don't remember what site
