Re: The ARMA 2 Video thread
The most important question that must be answered ASAP:
Can the dogs talk?
Make an MP mission with playable dogs, and attempt to converse with a human who is likely to be highly confused.

Operation Wag The Dog?
You could make BLUFOR Dogs and OPFOR Cats.

Re: The ARMA 2 Video thread
I really like in the soviet video how the grass around you goes down and around you.
can someone test who has this, how the concealment system works at distances now. instead of the ground being completely flat and clipping you does grass cover you up

Re: The ARMA 2 Video thread
First impressions for me: polish. The game feels very smooth. Far smoother than any other BI game I've played at 1.0.
The AI is not as bad as some videos make it out to be. There are still instances where they are a little durrrr, but they seem to be much more proficient at basic skills like navigation, seeking cover, and movement. The new/old MP editor lobby thing is pretty nifty.
Looking forward to trying out the new "Commander" VON channel to see what that is going to do.

Re: The ARMA 2 Video thread
Nice stuff Fans, I have a question and a request.
Q: What settings are you running the game at, res, view distance included, and what is your setup. Also, is it straining, or is it comfortable?
R: Get some ArmA 2 Faux news working, there are a few of you with the game now!

Dunno if this has been posted, but here is Arma 2 with a ww2 mod. They really fit in well in Chernarus.

Re: The ARMA 2 Video thread
Sorry, but from what I have seen, the AI is improved. Rather significantly.
Seems to be issues with a large number of wounded soldiers though (in the squirming screaming in pain animation), lag gets real bad for me.
Enabling this for only players would be an easy solution right now I think, but I would really like to see the enemy being able to use this in the future too. Maybe my comp's CPU is just getting overloaded trying to do too much, a dedi server might fare better ...
