Re: Who needs Op. Arrowhead?
Some ArmA1 islands should do the trick for you, if you're eager to try some desert environment right now:
Razani: http://www.armedassault.info/index.p...=islands&id=61
Avgani & Afghan Village: http://www.armedassault.info/index.p...=islands&id=54
You'll most likely need CAA1 (aka the nice official islands from ArmA1) and some new configs as well to run these properly in ArmA2.The most dangerous thing on a battlefield is an officer with a map.

Re: Who needs Op. Arrowhead?
Personally I couldn't care less about the maps in Operation Arrowhead, even though it's nice to get a couple of new ones. The engine changes is the most important part, since they allow ACE2 to become even more awesome :P

Re: Who needs Op. Arrowhead?
i will be getting arrowhead simply because of the maps..BI makes good maps to begin with..and now an official afghan like map...and randomly generated villages

Re: Who needs Op. Arrowhead?
I will get OA to a) enjoy the new maps, vehicles, personnel, weapons, and other addons and b) to support BIS because I get so much out of what they produce.
I don't know about everyone else, but as far as money-to-entertainment ratio, Arma has to topping my list of all-time-best. I anticipate the OA expansion will make it even better and will be worth the price ($30 I think?).
