Re: Flight Sim Recommendations
If you can find it Janes USAF is a pretty good flight sim as well.

Re: Flight Sim Recommendations
wow, i really cant wait to get 2 extra screens =p might be a few years yet though...
atm im playing around with DCS and il2 1946. (picked up il2 for $20 aud =D)
im still learning what every switch in the cockpit of the hokum does =p as for flying it im fairly well versed having done a few hours in a real chopper. it surely is the most "real'ish" feeling sim ive played, i just dont think anyones ever going to make a realistic chopper sim... not unless they make a thing that shakes your seat up around and makes it vibrate ruthlessly =p
one recommendation i have to offer is, if you are a tight ass like me and dont want to go out spending $130 aud on a set of flight sim pedals (like miles has) then dig out the old logitech racing wheel you brought back in 1998 to play need for speed 2 with and set up the brake and throttle as rudder pedals. ive done it in arma2 for fixed and rotary wings and it works great! fyi im using a logitech wingman formula force gp racing wheel with pedals (the wheel just sits under the desk =p
excuse my poor english, im australian
