Since we all know what assumption is, I thought I would ask for clarification regarding com’s. And figured better here then by pm in case I’m not the only one wondering.

Given Direct is affected by los and environment. Is it appropriate to use Group when the team is spread out beyond the range of Direct or when engaged in heavy fire?

Such as the situation below. Three men covering all angles of approach on the Church inside the wall, on Direct the Team leader might not hear contact callouts from the other side of the Church. If the compound was larger the odds of the Team leader hearing drop dramatically.

I was wondering when all us peons find out which section we are in? Do we find out just before the game once we join?

Id think in game because theres abouts 50 players so it would probly take ages to type up

Anyone got any ideas on how to burn time till 9pm ?

no idea it turns out it is now 8pm in the uk acorrding to the sign up topic (one of the last posts id check at 8 just to be sure)

As far as comms I want every rifleman to be on direct. I am trying to cut down on chatter. I understand if you are spread out but i think that adds to the realism. If your team leader has orders he will be on group. If you want to report something to your TL jump to group. (make sure you have your channels hot keyed *hint,hint*) I just dont want ten million people talking on the net. we are going to have alot of players tonight and Command and Control is going to be VITAL. I am going for a 0% Blue on Blue tonight. If you need to report on group make it quick and to the point. All higher command will be on TS. If you are a rifleman you shouldn't have to hear my voice at all tonight (with any luck).
