Re: TG Mod Pack Update
I used the latest addonsync2009 and followed the directions listed on the previous page. All the CBA stuff downloaded fine, but everything else...nope...no go. I got a "The Remote Server returned an error: 404" message on all the rest.
Bummer. Honestly I don't think I have the patience to download each and everyone one of those addons while trying to figure what you guys did and didn't update every few weeks.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong...no idea, but I did put in the correct password to the TG alpha server as I get a list of current players on the server and I got a correct list of addons that the server uses. So it should have worked."LETS ROLL GROUNDHOGS!!!" -Supreme Bashar Miles Teg (Heretics of Dune)

Re: TG Mod Pack Update
Hello Miles Teg,
With in the Yoma Sync program, try this.
Under settings, look for the 2nd section from the top. Something along the lines of where the addons will be directed to.
Click on the left icon, I think it was armaholic or armedassault.info. Can't remember which at this time. But switching to either two while running the app helped for me.
Might work for you?
@Skrue
You shouldn't get a prompt asking for passwords. The section shouldn't with passwords shouldn't be filled. Leave it empty.
Only the Gamer server connection should be using passwords.
Try that

Re: TG Mod Pack Update
Looks like TG's ftp is having issues at the moment. I'm not able to download files that previously worked fine with either Addonsync-version.

Re: TG Mod Pack Update
Browna you should take a look at Yoma's offer for help on the previous page, or contact me and I'll help. Either way if Yoma's system is properly set up at both ends it works like a dream.
edit: Piggybacking TG's FTP like I did above doesn't work anymore, and I have no idea why. CBA will still download normally for AS2009 user as it comes from my server, but the rest of the pack won't. Sadly I don't have enough space to mirror the whole pack at the moment. I have to go now but I'll re-check this in a few hours.Last edited by Fincuan; 11-16-2009 at 10:20 PM.

Re: TG Mod Pack Update
I've downloaded the modpack update, but whenever i load up yoma's arma addon, it says could not find filepath and then unable to load local xml. So whenever I go onto Alpha server it won't let me on saying I have missing files, yet in my arma 2 directory I have all the files it states I don't have.
And I realised I didn't even download the first tg modpack nevermind the update so now I have to do all that, this is a pain.
edit: ok i got it to work, phew.Last edited by Rye; 11-16-2009 at 11:39 PM.

Re: TG Mod Pack Update
I've just taken the liberty to install my very old version (the one used to deploy your repository) and indeed the download performance on the webserver is very very poor.
If i get the time i'll set up a mirror on my own server. (It's performance is also not that great but at least you'll then have one mirror)
However the mirror will NOT BE in the old version, but in the new version.
I'll try to get on TS with TG admins soon to help them out/help them set up a decent manual page so players can get up to speed quickly.

Re: TG Mod Pack Update
Hehe, well thanks Jorge but unfortunately that method only works for CBA at the moment. It gives a not found/404 error on the TG-part of the pack no matter what, and I have no idea what is wrong and why it previously worked. In an ideal situation the .7z-file would be on TGs server, which would mean it would definitely work and gettings the mods would literally be a less-than-10 mouseclick process. With the new Yoma tools you just type in the "Auto config URL" which points to a file on the server, and the program fetches the gameserver, addon-server and TS-server details with one click. All you need to do is fill in passwords and usernames and download the mods. Pretty handy stuff.

Re: TG Mod Pack Update
Yeah I agree if Fincuan....if this new version can be made to work with TG servers, I'm all on board, as it looks vastly easier to setup and it is partly working. I'm just not sure if it's on the server end or the user end that something is not right. Hopefully with Yoma's help Brown and the other admins can figure it out. If Tactical Gamer.com can figure it out, I think other big ArmA 2 servers will follow as it looks like this has alot of potential. It seems to have worked briefly at least a couple of times for people before it went kapoot. So I'm guessing that something changed on the server? Dunno.

Re: TG Mod Pack Update
My guess is the problem is related to Yoma's tools not understanding the "external" URLs properly. If it doesn't work it's not a problem at your end, because it won't work for me either lol

I did it precisely the same way a TG-admin would do, except I had to edit in the URLs by hand since the files are on a different server than the config. Should the files and the config reside on the same server, which is the case with the CBA-part, there would be no trouble and it's really easy to set up.
FYI if you now the filenames you can access all of the modpack from your own browser. There's no directory listing available, but accessing files by name works fine. For example, ad_helo's pack: http://www.tacticalsites.com/~arma/u..._helos.pbo.zip

Re: TG Mod Pack Update
-Does the ModPack need CBA in it too?
-Can someone post Teamspeak ip + port, i'll add those in as well.
-I can update the repo as wanted, but that could leave my repo out of sync with the actual files on the server.
-My webserver is also not hyperfast... If you want hundreds of people to be able to download at the same time with good speeds you need a good, fast webserver, and maybe some mirrors.

Re: TG Mod Pack Update
Here's the details Yoma;
Name: Tacticalgamer Alpha
Gameserver adress: 64.34.178.169:2302
TS: 67.19.106.94:8767
Name: Tacticalgamer Bravo
Gameserver address: 64.34.178.169:2312
FYI Browna is probably the guy you should be contacting, he's one of the TG-guys working on the modpack.
