Question Need help. Ideas for 2nd year anniversary?

I know it is Arma 2 General Discussion, but I don't know other place to ask than you guys.

December 22nd will be 2nd year anniversary that I'm with my babe and I ran out of ideas where to take her. I'm sure that we got here people who have experience in this kind of stuff .

We live in Connecticut, so it's about an hour drive to New York City. First I thought take her to nice Brazilian Restaurant because she's Brazilian and then go for watching a movie. Problem is that we always watch movies, and I want something special.

Maybe something to do in NYC? or take her somewhere else, but where?

I have less than a month left to figure it out.

    Don't let me down .

Whatever you do, do not buy her an extra copy of arma so you can both play on TG on December 22nd

You are asking a bunch of people on the internet what to do for an anniversary?

Ask your mother/father/reverend/someone close who knows you well.

    Ghost has a point.

But, dinner is always nice. Talk to the waiter in private if you can, tell him the situation. You can get a free desert and maybe a nice candle on it too.

The Brazilian place sounds great, especially if she's into being from Brazil, and hasn't been to that restaurant before.

Be original, and don't over do it. Make sure you're being a good company...that's what matters.

    What's the budget?

If you're talking NYC, are you talking overnight? Hotels are high.

Lunch here is maybe $100 for both with appetizers and drinks, and comes highly recommended for food and view (jackets required, reservations too, and be careful, the dinner menu is insanely expensive):

Then maybe drive over the bridge and kill some time at a museum (Metropolitan Art Museum?) and catch a Broadway show and drive home after? Expect probably $20+ in parking garages and another $120 for Broadway tickets.

Just shooting some ideas out there.

Longtime has it right -- the River Cafe is by far (one of) the best place(s) to dine in NYC.

Take her to Brasil if you can afford that.

If you can't, definitely that her out to eat some Brazilian food, or cook it yourself. I don't know where in Brazil your girlfriend is from, but sorvete lives in Brazil and can defenitly help you better with your choices.

The ones that are the best for me:

    Picanha: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rump_cover

    Moqueca: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moqueca

Bobó: (No english version sorry) http://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob%C3%B3

    Feijoada Brasileira: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feijoada

Panqueca: (Can't find a decent link most have a sexual connection, but it's brazilian pancake with meat inside, like a burrito)

And make sure to drink allot of caipirinhas

About the after dinner, take her to a disco or club to dance, they love it and try to make a Brazilian one. Or even better just do what you feel that she wants, in 2 years I'm sure she already gave you allot of clues on what she wants/misses most

Just take her out. Dont plan anything. Go out for a drive or a walk around the city and when you see her look at something for more than a few seconds get out and go look at it together. Keep it random thats what will make it fun. Make it up as you go most women respond to that.

Is she brazilian? Dude, good luck... lol

But yeah, it depends where is she from in Brazil. Anyway, a brazilian restaurant sounds like a good idea. Make her remind her home, soften her heart, and then... well, u know...

But i definitely wont recommend the Feijoada... its too heavy for a dinner, and your "performance" may suffer from it later, if you know what i mean...

And yes, caipirinhas... lots of it... everyone loves it, especially girls... and if u can find a strawberry caipirinha, man, it'll take some time to forget that night...

If you don't mind the (extra drive)/weather then i strongly recommend Niagara Falls, if she hasn't been there, she'd love it.

    Good luck.

I know what you mean lol. They are hard to get, but after all they are the most wonderful people. I meet a lot of Brazilians and always enjoy their company . It's funny how people are surprised beacuse I'm from Poland and she's from Brazil. Its interesting mix. I have been with her for more than 2 years (but officialy our 2 years will be in next month). We know eachother very well, shes my girlfriend and bestfriend, so only thing I need to know is where to take her for anniversary (we celebrate every month, so I kinda ran out of ideas lol).

I would never change her for anyone else, and she would never do it to me. She's like the one girl on million that you can find. We are planning to get married in 2011 .

Re: Need help. Ideas for 2nd year anniversary?

First off Mikee I'm glad you have consulted the dating specialists here at TG. Not only do we game, but we help you manage your relationships.

SOP for 2 year anniversaries is as follows...

    Day of Anniversary..
    1. Wake up.
    2. Giver her kiss on cheek..and a "I love you dear".
    3. Play ArmA 2 90% of day.
    4. When she comes in and says "Dear, its our anniversary. Don't you remember?".
    5. Wait a minute before answering, then turn and say "Huh? Oh, I forgot.".
    6. Afterward take her to some 24 hour cafe for a late dinner since it will be in the evening.

You got your orders soldier! Good Luck!
