Do we get to run around on fire like in ArmA1? That was great 8) lol Will be there. Already been messing with though not the latest version.

Re: *Attention* Special SLX testing 28/11/09-29/11/09
Are there going to be any conflicts if we use the TG modpack and SLX together? I guess it's best to add @SLX to your shortcut (or to the "modset" if using AddonSync) right at the end so it has primacy if I remember correctly.

What I mean is will I have a problem running them together at the moment and will making sure @SLX is the last to be read by ArmA2 by placing it at the end of the shortcut (iirc) help at all?

I dislike that CAA1 is so large, but this SLX mod sounds great. I've been bored at the AI and it needs an amp-up. (especially those lazy frogfoot overflights at the airport, I mean..wtf??!?! what combat pilot would do that?!?)

Re: *Attention* Special SLX testing 28/11/09-29/11/09
As of now I'd actually recommend NOT to use SLX, simply because the AI is fairly bugged at the moment. Since we don't command AI I guess we won't suffer too much from it, but there are several reports of very... disobedient AI on the BIS forums, with them disembarking seconds after mounting in a vehicle they are ordered to get into, and even dispersing all over the map.
A lot of stuff in SLX is really awesome, although I'd also recommend to disable several features (i.e. removing the PBOs) since they are, at least in my opinion, quite messed up.
Solus seem to be working really hard on fixing stuff though. He's churned out four new versions in (1.6, 1.65, 1.66 and 1.7) just in two, three days, so hopefully he'll have cured the worst AI oddities soon.
A lot of oddities and conflicts in SLX can be avoided while keeping the good stuff, so don't worry people. Just a matter of knowing what to keep in SLX, and what to discard ^^
I'd love to talk about and help out with setting up SLX to make the experience of it as good as possible, so feel free to either contact me on Skype (You can use the link under my portrait, PM me, or just snatch me when I'm on TS)
Edit: Oh, and it also seems like weapon damage is screwed up in the current version. Some person at BIF tested and an M16 needed 5 torso-hits to bring someone down, while the AK-107 only needed one. :SLast edited by Inkompetent; 11-26-2009 at 08:18 PM.

Re: *Attention* Special SLX testing 28/11/09-29/11/09
Just downloaded this and had a (very) quick go.
I have a feeling this is going to be debated, ALOT.
The AI reactions, weapon damage (blood splats), AI speed were pretty good.
Unfortunately the sounds are somewhat lacking. For example, the M16 sounds like someone sneezing. And thats not an exaggeration.
Cant wait to give it a proper go tomorrow/today.Nihility

Re: *Attention* Special SLX testing 28/11/09-29/11/09
Well, there are several modules in SLX that can (and imo SHOULD) be removed to provide the best gameplay. A lot of nice stuff though like faster weapon transitions, using launcher weapons when prone, your dude shouting when reloading, faster grenade throw animation, and things like that

Re: *Attention* Special SLX testing 28/11/09-29/11/09
We could always find the stuff we like and just put the PBOs into the TGMODPACK. Problem Avoided.
