    I agree 100% I think SLX has proven to be very unstable and Zeus AI is good an server side only which is a huge plus. compatibility issues are bad enough already with the mod pack no need to add SLX and make it worse.

    SLX in it's history has never been a stable mod for online play, and definitely not friendly to large server loads. Old versions and in version compatibility have always been a concern, without forced key signing for the mod pack server stability will be a large issue. Have one large mission with one person trying to reconnect 3 or 4 times and not seeing why they are being disconnected due to a key difference is enough to cause SLX to spasm on the server and recreate the memory leaks we encountered this weekend. It happened in ArmA1 and I see no reason why it will not continue to be the case in ArmA2.

    For a Single player and LAN play/campaign play the features might be fun, but in any larger of an environment with a diverse audience of players, it will be an exercise in futility to keep the server alive w/o signed keys, and even then not a guarantee that old versions attempting to connect will cause the version failures/memory leaks we encountered this weekend.

    I am sure if your running firedaemon or whatnot to restart the server every time it fails thats fine, but if it hangs when growing over 1gb of memory, well it is just going to cause more issues than it is worth to the server admins in babysitting it. Then again I am not familiar with how your servers are being ran, just from my own experience.

    I voted yes, assuming that by only using a tiny portion of the SLX behemoth we won't sacrifice server stability.

    I hope that is a correct assumption...

    I like zeus AI, thinks it works, just need to change the settings on the server and it would be perfect

    I am voting no because it still can cause problems. People are going to have to shut down all the way just to jump into bravo server and vise versa. Also the potential to crash the server is still there. Think of all the people that still dont have the modpack/updated modpack. If this was SLX they could potentially crash the server. Why dont we just wait, fix EVERYTHING in SLX not just bits and pieces here and there. We cut out everything we dont need, merge it with the new Zeus AI and have a complete new ArmA update? One shot one kill. Just wait until everything is ready.

    i havent played it just read the notes but seems like a cool mod, dont quite agree with all the changes (such as changes to recoil) but seems pretty solid for the most part.

    Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

    Load up the blackhawk down map, slot in as one of the delta force snipers that start at crash site 2. The next 10 minutes will be enough reason NOT to add the SLX ai.

    I think the problem is that when we started deleting stuff we actually deleted some of the AI portions. The wounds thing is actually for the AI. Corpral_Cody made a post about it. I think we need to add those things back in and just get rid of the birds that we know for SURE caused the crashed and retest it again.

    Well, I'm not sure if Wounds is exclusively for the AI. I think I'll be poking Solus more about how SLX actually exactly works.

    Yes in the final testing of SLX on Sunday evening we did remove some portions of AI stuff that we did not realize was AI related. If the majority wants SLX we will add all AI related components back in including the medical system. All these things were stable because the majority of them worked fine in the final testing. Furthermore, Claiming SLX is unstable is not correct because only certain portions are and I feel we have routed out which parts are unstable. The final Sunday night test went flawlessly with no crashes so it must be stable.

    AI modifications should be modular ... no gray zones. All I see in the above list is a bunch of stuff that can cause problems. The top two with "AI" in their names look promising but they are clouded out by the strange crap that follows. I think anything with "SLX" in the name should really be avoided.

    Zeus AI mod all the way.
