Don't have to squint to see the numbers? I can sit at the opposite end of the room and read the MILS accurately!

Ah, didn't know that. The SIX updater has it in three separate folders, but yeah you're right it makes zero difference.

I had sounds bugging when using SoW and ACE2 simultaneously (some weapons making no sound at all). Not sure if anyone else has had happen or just a freak occurrence . The problem stopped when I used ACE only.

I'm using Kelly's heroes and the alpha server hasn't updated yet leaving me with a VERY frustrating notification popping up every 5 seconds that I have the newer version. WHEN WILL THE SERVER GET UPDATED?

The admin team is starting to sound like a broken record, "We're working on it, calm down."

The fact that there was an update to this beta released to the public the same day as the actual beta was released doesn't help much.

I've updated and downloaded and synced and prayed to the ACE gods and danced the "MOD" dance... and still no luck. This is by far the most difficult time I've ever had getting a mod to work...

I'll just echo my thoughts from the ACE release thread here:

The only practical way to keep the server ACE version up to date that I'm aware of is by using the Six Updater (or rsync if the server runs Linux). It exists for exactly that purpose. It can be scheduled to run automatically rather than take up valuable Admin time.

I normally try to remain impartial but I'm seeing some real bad attitudes directed toward our Admin team and that is completely unacceptable. They spend personal time and effort making the TG Arma experience enjoyable for everyone, and deserve gratitude for it. Same thing applies to the ACE developers. If you're having an ingrate bitch fit about the way they choose to go about providing a free service to you, fine - but we don't need to hear about it.

Let's keep up the constructive contributions, alright?

Sorry chunkymonkey, but that kind of attitude is going to draw attention to you in the worst way possible. You should really think before posting something like that because they are offering you a place to play the game. Yelling at the admins is not good, getting the game officer to respond to you is..... well just be careful in the future.

Just a random thought....Not trying to tell anyone anything about nothing........yeah..sounds good.

Instead of trying to keep the Server "Super Updated" with ACE, why not ease the stress on the admin team and just do it once a week, like say sunday? Take all the updates up until that point (if any) and upload them then? That way there wont be any hassle/rush/whiney players...<well maybe not that one but,lol, That could make things a little easier no?

I really have not a clue how it all works but that seems like it might help out a little.

Thoughts?

I think it's just best everyone just use the release version and stand by to stand by. But of course i just dug my own grave so I will shut my mouth. Dang Dredge, look what you made me do.

i think someone should just find the little pop-up message that comes up and make it only run once when you join the server then we have the problem solved

i'm a tad gutted i went through all the mucking about getting ace installed and had a bash about with new stuff in the armoury then come online to have a good serious gaming session only to get the stupid version popup every 8th of a second. because i have a more up to date version. however i do not blame the admins 1 little bit. im blaming ace modders for such an annoying feature! however despite that one tiny problem the rest of it as far as i can tell is AWESOME! can't wait to put it through its paces!
