Re: ACE2 TG Server Information & SM Download
Ok, so I will be able to have the most up-to-date version of ACE2 and the current TG played version? I do like to test up on the fixes and such.

Re: ACE2 TG Server Information & SM Download
There no way to roll back ACE using Yoma, correct? I'm in the dill of a pickle that some others are in, the only difference is, I'm patient.

Re: ACE2 TG Server Information & SM Download
The message is there for a reason. Depending on what is changed clients with a newer version than the server might cause the server to crash, and crash hard. The whole purpose of the message is to annoy you as a player so much that you leave the server, since there are no technical means in ArmA to get a player with another version of a mod to be rejected his connection attempt.

[whine]While I understand that wewant as many supporting members as possible and I have been a supporting member in the past, providing links for those of us that are not currently supporting members would have been nice.[/whine]
With that out of the way, I am not sure where I get the acex folder, but I am currently DL ACE2. I DL'd Arma 2 last night and am still trying to get upto speed on all of the changes, DLs, fixes and what not that need to be done before I can game with TG.|TG-IRR|

Re: ACE2 TG Server Information & SM Download
So Kelly's Heroes updated their version of ACE2, are we safe to download this now?

Re: ACE2 TG Server Information & SM Download
good question. if i understand browna3 right we should NOT update it.
There's a lot of confusion out there atm.
I've been lucky to grab the right version from kelly thru yoma last night but in the meanwhile a new version came up.
A confirmation about which version is running on TG would be nice.
How about a sticky with the version running on TG and a quick help how to determine which version the users have?

Re: ACE2 TG Server Information & SM Download
More directly, will there be a TG specific YOMA link anytime soon? Else I probably won't be able to play, and those others who updated through YOMA will probably be in the same boat...

Re: ACE2 TG Server Information & SM Download
The KH Yoma-mirror is itself updated via the SIX-Updater, so it's the new and wrong version for TG's servers.
I'd like to propose something here, which I hope isn't taken the wrong way:- Fire up TG's own Yoma mirror where we can all download exactly the same version TG uses on the servers
OR - Keep the servers up-to-date with the most current version available via SIX-updater
I understand the admins' positions and feel for you, but anything other than those two options and clients will be very confused on which version exactly they should be using. Especially considering that anything execept the newest version is very hard(read
ractically impossible) to find anywhere.
Personally I stepped into this very same "pile" yesterday, ie. ran the SIX updater only to find TG servers weren't updated, but thankfuly I had kept the old files and could just extract a new version from there. All in all I don't have a problem with TG not running exactly the newest version, just that it's clearly written somewhere which version and where do I get it.
edit: sorry for repating some stuff already said, but about five messages came out or were edited while I wrote that
- Fire up TG's own Yoma mirror where we can all download exactly the same version TG uses on the servers
