Ranger Tactics Training Videos
I'm sure these are on here somewhere, but I couldn't find them by searching...
These videos are short (4-8 mins each), but have a huge amount knowledge with immediate usefulness in Arma. These are for squad level movement and tactics.
Squad Formation and Movement:
React to Contact (when the fit hits the shan)
Squad Attack (not tard rush)
Break Contact (runaway to fight another day)
They are a little thick on first viewing, but I recommend coming back and reviewing them after a little time in Arma. In particular Squad Formation and Movement and Break Contact. Enjoy!

Re: Ranger Tactics Training Videos
The squad formation and movement video is really handy for helping people understand concepts like 360 degree security, wedge formation and combat spacing. The squad attack video is good for concepts like base of fire and maneuvering a fire team to an enemy flank. A good basic thing to take from the from the videos is the load-out of the different soldiers. In Arma, everyone seems to want to take a DMR or sniper rifle, which is understandable in the long distance engagement of Takistan, but it really helps having an automatic rifleman in each fire team (4 man group), and a machine gunner in the squad (8 man group).
The software used to make these videos should look familiar. VBS2 (virtual battlefield simulation) is the Arma engine, turned into a training tool for various militaries, etc.

I thought he sounded like WeaponX who used to play here, who has since moved on to other places.

Re: Ranger Tactics Training Videos
I had the opportunity to use VBS2 at a visit to Fort Benning a while back; even compared to Arma it is amazing the amount of simulations you can do in it.
