All 3 look good and would open up some mission possibilities for our mission creators. If possible I would like all three, but if the choice is limited to just one, then I would go for #1.

1 has more variety and a small file size.
2 is not so appealing to me.
3 looks interesting but has a bigger file size.

2 looks awesome but as per fairys post ,1 is my choice as it gives a lot of variety for not much overhead.

Voted 4, standart units looks more close to reality for me and clutter up memory for christmass or halloween clothes not good for this game i think. And not sure that every developer will be glad to check which one of 100 units he put on map and has it fashionable shoes.. Its may be good for VIDEO, but for gameplay im not sure.
For example on this website http://arma.at.ua/ guys create reality missions, simulators really hot points in real life and thats why they create really weapons, armyes, stuff. Thats http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=11424 usefull, but addons above..

Big thing for me is whether these are Arma 2 units, or OA units. New units that can use/have backpacks would be my preference (OA).

Based on what I could see:
1. lots of variety, but slightly less texture quality than 3.
2. looks nice, but with the picture selection it's hard to tell. Not much variety.
3. Higher quality than 1, still lots of variety. Larger file size.

OPFOR variants.
Smaller size.
Just more flexible for mission makers.
