Discussion: Simulation / Armed Assault - Operation: Flying Quincey Info Thread - Briefing:
Lingor has been a contested between US forces and OPFOR forces for the past
Lingor has been a contested between US forces and OPFOR forces for the past 3 months. Lingor has multiple airfields that allow it for good air staging for nearby islands. For the most part, we have been able to keep OPFOR forces out. Until 3 hours ago.
We had a OPFOR cargo plane fly high over Lingor, and it appeared nothing was out of the ordinary. However, our radar caught a blip for 3 seconds of something really, really small. Small as in a parachute size object. We think OPFOR Airborne Forces have possibly infiltrated our perimeter and are going to start commencing guerilla style attacks around the island. This we can not allow.
We are sending a platoon to patrol the northern section of Lingor. Other platoons are handling other sectors of Lingor. You are to patrol and clear the marked checkpoints on the map. You can complete them in any order you like.
We do not have any confirmation on size of the enemy forces, composition, or if they are even there. We need you to sweep to be sure. If they are out there, they may try to ambush you.
Weather conditions are extremely poor. Fog is expected to get better, but not initially. Good luck.
