Starting tomorrow night (May 24) we will start testing sessions for a new map to add to TGMaps. Later today I will post a link for a preset to use in Six Updater for the map we will test tomorrow.
We'll run a few tests with whomever wants to take a look by throwing down some helicopters and vehicles and do a massive fly around to take a look at the possibilities. After we've gotten it down to a short list we'll post up a poll and vote up.

The Island Of Nicosia is an island built mainly for jungle warfare, with vigorous mountainous terrain.
With the main US airbase in the south west of the island which is very big and can withstand any amount of aircraft as of this moment.
The Airbase will be your life line in and around the island, with main roads through and around the place there is possible chances
to be ambushed by enemy forces, including rebels. Jungles compared to the movie "southern comfort" where a squad of marines get
lost in a hillbilly forest then hunted!
Also included is the template to spawn the airbase and the newly made mountain top base "US Forward Base Echo" .
As you probably read about Namalsk Crisis campaign, this modification is the key part of the Namalsk Crisis campaign. From the first ArmA 1 version, I have changed and added a lot of things to this modification. I have to admit, I never thought, that I will be able to create stuff like you can see in this modification. Because of its functions and content, this modification could also provide to Arma II S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fans basics for creating missions with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. atmosphere in Arma II. Modification was developed mainly in Arma II classic, so, some things are not changed - mainly because of not enough time and also because of compatibility in Arma II and
Arma II CO.
Just for a start and at this point just looking around.
Based on the area around the town of Celle, Lower saxony, this "island" covers 250sqkm of real terrain compressed into 100sqkm ingame, thus resulting in a rough 1:5 scale.
This piece of map features two nearly ICAO approveable Airports with proper signage and new Airport-buildings, such as huge hangers. Besides that there is a terrain with rolling hills, open spaces and somewhat around 35 towns. All set in a Luneburg Heath style. Steelbeasts-fans are going to love this one.

Taviana (Officialy: Tavianska Sovjetskaja Socialističiskaja Respublika - TSSR– The Soviet Socialist Republic of Taviana) is an island country situated in the Baltic Sea approximately 120km off the coast of Lithuania or Kaliningrad. It has a population of approximately 1 500 000 inhabitants of who 90% are ethnic Slavs called “Rustaki”, Russians or Poles and 10% ethnic Lithuanians. The capital and second largest city of the republic is Sabina which is located on the Southern coast of lake Umag, has a population of approximately 150 000 and has the republics main international airport.
Aliabad is a coastal region somewhere in Takistan (or another similar country), it consists of some farmlands, settlements, rolling hills and some canyons. There are two main farmlands aswell as a few scattered farms and compounds all over the map, all in all it is much more populated than my previous map, Hazar-Kot. It is still a rather worn-down area though, with many ruins (some old, some new) here and there.
This map is Sangin province Afghanistan its the Green zone where all poppie is grown. This is a very hostile and dangerous area with many casualties. Its the green zone so its dense with huge poppie and cannibis fields and irragation channells its a lethal battle ground from compound to compound fighting to ww2 style hedge row to hedge row fighting.
Will kick of a test at 6:00pm Toronto time (EDT). Will run the Charlie server for a few hours only. There is only 13 slots in the test mission but everyone should get a chance to take a look if you have gotten the first map.
Oh, there may be a suprise or so in the mission. Just sayin.
