Discussion: Simulation / Armed Assault - Operation: Dancing Sand - Briefing:
Well gents, we got us a bloody mission!
Insurgent forces have been hitting friendly
Insurgent forces have been hitting friendly forces using well rehearsed attacks and drills. Ten days ago, insurgents stormed a local CLAfgan army base, stealing weapons, supplies, and worst of all, three T-55As and two BTR-70s. They managed to get in and out in 12 minutes and killed 14 CLAfgan army soldiers.
Two days ago, they got bolder. They attacked Camp Braca which has US forces stationed at it. They used suicide bombers, large trucks, and forced their way in. They killed 19 US Army soldiers, and wounded 32. They managed to walk off with a nice cache of US weapons. Now, we have been called in for a favor from the President of the United States himself.
Because US forces in the region have been crippled, we are being asked to attack in retaliation. US intel has found where their weapons and CLAfgan armour disappeared to. It is located in an extremely remote village of Spetzyahir. Images show a base set up that is being used for insurgent training purposes. We are going in to neutralize the entire area.
Because of the remote area we will be operating in, vehicle support will be useful. Command has given us access to two Wildcats, a Merlin, and a C-130, courteous of the USA. We are to go in, destroy the captured armour and weapons, and clear the village of ALL personnel in and around that area.
Lads, they have hit our brother. He is down and unable to defend himself. It is now our responsibility to step up to assist in the counter-attack and revenge for all of their lost brothers-in-arms. Lock and Load!

nope just need the base plate, the mortar, an ammo box and range cards, and it should be good to go. Although make sure the spotter has a vector and DAGR or we could spend more time just working out grids than firing

Admin hasnt updated and I cant, I guess we will figure it out day of, numbers dont look too good.
Please update us with a roster via CAA thread with the relevant title. So we can post it for you.
We'd rather get the roster from the person responsible.
For example, Dimitrius requested the roster to be updated via CAA for his event. With an up to date roster at the time of posting.
It came to my attention, and I got it done when I was able.
This way, the communication between the mission maker/event planner/starter is clear.
Eight months later I finally received the reports from three peer-reviews on my latest manuscript with the University of Toronto Press. This will be my third book with the same press and the second...

Rage makes a great case for using the VR as a place for training as a sniper. Virtual training rooms for training in virtual warfare.
This post is a great TG read:
