I thought I'd include more info about myself.
My Name is Alex, callsign Xmaster. I'm 19 and I come from Quebec, Canada...so that makes me a french canadian :P. I've been playing games for about 14years now. I like tactical games, hence why I bought ArmA and I'm hanging here

. In the past i've played Ghost Recon (the original one) in an military-like clan. I've then played America's Army for about 5 years. Last year I've started playing PR and been looking at ArmA ever since. Now I finally bought the game and I'm enjoying it (even though im kinda lost) and had previous experience with Operation Flashpoint.

I'm more of a squad member than a leader. I prefer to stand aside and listen carefully to the orders. I love squad-play and I really dig simulation-ish gameplay.

So far I've found TG to be a great community. Its full of great guys and gals (not sure if there is any gals :P) always willing to help.

No major groups to claim. I am connected to Tweakforce.net in a small way.

3. Any experience with Armed Assault and/or Operation Flashpoint?

I am OFP lol.. Played since the demo in 2000 and never stopped. Its installed on my VU64 machine right now...mmmm SLX goodness. Play a tad more ARMA now. Mostly SP since network infrastructure in this part of the world is kinda... well blowed up*.

4. Are you active in any other games at TG?

Not at the moment. I do have my eye on PR, or Insurgency. I have two char on EVE for about 3 years as a casual player. But ARMA/OFP is my mistress.

5. Any interest in mission editing/scripting?

Yes. Played with Yomies today as a matter of fact.

6. Any real world Military experience?
Yep. Ft Hood, S Korea and the Sandbox.. a lot.

7. Additional Info.

Apparently the PX got smart and has ARMA and ARMA Gold available here. I foresee the need for a server ;-) On the TG side, found this server in my MP server list after getting back home for my vacation and was hooked the whole time at home. Great folks, mature and at the end of a mission it feels right. I shall return... Sept i think

I've been playing OFP for...a long time. I played primarily with VS on their Vetsquad server. (which is still up and active after all these years.) I have also played ArmA on and off although I've had trouble finding a good Co-op server until now.

4. Are you active in any other games at TG?

Counter Strike:Source. I recently bought BF2 and intend to play on the TG servers but have had a nightmare getting that game to not crash to desktop.

5. Any interest in mission editing/scripting?

Nope.

6. Any real world Military experience?

Nope.

Hey, team!

Here's my story. I used to play a ton of Operation Flashpoint through first Something Awful, and then ShackTac. When they made the switch to ArmA, I was left in the dust because my laptop simply couldn't handle it. In the last few weeks I have built myself a pc (my first time!) and am finally catching up on computer games made in the last decade.

TG seems like a natural fit for my playing style, so i'm quite looking forward to seeing you all. I was never the best OFP player, but I can at the very least point in a direction and shoot.

Along with ArmA, i've been playing a lot of DoD/CS Source and Company of Heroes on my new box.

I am new to TG.Not new to ARMA or OPF.I really enjoy this simulation type games.Especially now that we can use good quality voice over net.I love teamwork in a game and as such I am not a chacer for pionts.I really enjoy the mature company,respect and laughs I have experienced on the servers.

1. Vent is my in game name, not because of ventrilo!! Just a short version of my real last night that is Ventura, and no, my first name isin't Ace.

2. I'm part of the 506th PIR realism unit but for this, i like to make Tactical Gamer's a private experience.

3. Been playing for a good while now, know most of the basics and pretty good at following orders.

Whatever you need to learn, most of the peeps here are really good at teaching you. if there are any questions you have, by all means post em up and we can help with. If there are in-game specific ones, just grab a admin and we can help you.
