Hopefully my 505 version will arrive today, patch is downloaded and should be ready to go.

Another Shacktac guy checking in. Been playing OFP with Shack since November 2006. Have played OFP since it's release but never in a larger scale community such as this and Shack. Hope to play ArmA alot more in it's MP environment.

3. Experience with Armed Assault: Bought the 505 version but have been playing it extensively.

4. Positions and roles you enjoy playing: Machinegunner, AT Specialist and some Fireteam leader if needed.

5. Missions you have created and/or creating: A few for OFP and ArmA. the main one is Keep the Secrets for OFP which Shacktac plays. I will be building missions only through Armed Assault from now on though.

Hi everyone,

Im completely new to TG, I had never really heard of it until I was searching through Google for Armed Assault. I really enjoy organised teamplay, where all my fellow players are working together in a mature fashion but at the same time having fun, especially in games such as Armed Assault. When I usually log on to random servers, I might be lucky to encounter one person on the server who is the same as me, trying to play on a strategic level, rather than just take the sniper rifle and run around with it.

So, I hope I will be welcomed on the servers, and I am sure I can some really great ArmA experiences if I stay here.

My in-game name is TheFlyingScotsman, same as with nearly every other game I play. I have had experience with Operation Flashpoint, however, most of it was Single-Player due to the lack of co-ordination I found with most MP games.

I just recently bought Armed Assault after playing the demo. I have played through the first few SP missions and a few online games. I enjoy playing really much any role on the battlefield, currently I prefer ground based roles, but as I gain experience with flying I enjoy a variety of positions on the battlefield.

I haven't attempted to make any missions, however if I get some spare time I could have a nose through the editor and have a bash and making something up.

I hope to see you sometime on the battlefield.

4. Positions and roles you enjoy playing: I'm good at giving and following orders, and I prefer to go somewhere inbetween. I tend to lead fireteams, but I can also lead an entire mission

5. Missions you have created and/or creating: I haven't created any except for the odd fooling around in the editor.

3. Experience with Armed Assault: Been working through the singleplayer campaign, just got 1.05 working for multiplayer.

I have been following ArmA for a couple months and was planning to wait for the May Atari release. In a spur of the moment thing I went ahead and bought the Sprocket release and worked out a way to use my cdkey and an .ISO file to play. Hope to play with some of you later on this evening.

Olddude here, yes I was born in 1965. I've played OFP over several years but mostly single player missions.
I love the grunt role. Moving under mutual cover. I have been mostly playing America's Army recently under the name SgtMurphy.
I have been playing the demo for a few weeks and just bought the full english version this week.
I am very excited to play with other TG'ers and hope to eventually join a formal clan. Heck, I might form one myself.

Got the game a few weeks ago, haven't played a ton but am enjoying it. Only wish that it was easier to find team oriented servers out there. Have had a blast playing w/ the TG guys though on ya'lls server.

Howdy.

My game nickname is Gary Owen.

I've played through the SP campaigns of the OpF GOTY edition; never got online with it though. Most of my online infantry gaming has been limited to America's Army.

I've had a copy of the full German edition for a month or two and have been fiddling with the SP campaign.

I was a cav scout, back in the day. So I'm comfortable with mounted or dismounted tactics. But given AA's vehicle user interface, I prefer to walk.

I've never really done anything with the OfP or AA mission editor. However, I've a bit of experience writing missions, and designing maps for an armor simulator (Steel Beasts), so I will probably at some point try my hand at this.

Right now, I'm just curious when the best times to get into the public server would be, so that I can ease myself into online play.

4. Positions and roles you enjoy playing: Any that the team don't mind having messed up, J/K. Any and all, not saying I am any good at them.

5. Missions you have created and/or creating: Waiting for the Editors to come out. Would like to make a map based on the Niger River Delta at max size. Lots of crazy stuff happening there with River Pirates, kidnappings, oil theft, oil line destruction. Ripe area for Nigerian Regulars, UN, US, Mercenary forces vs. Irregulars. Not seen how ArmA can handle maps that don't look like Euro-land or Desert. Jungle and waterways and swamp I have not seen.
