Hello TacGamers,
I finally decided to join the forum after having played many entertaining missions on the TG servers

1. Merlo

2. Played for a while with the NOCS, a small AA italian clan

3. I played both ArmA and the original OFP. I have played on the TG servers since last March, with the same nickname I use in ArmA2, and I also had the honor of commanding a mission ("Steel Beasts: mission 1" set in the Uwar Desert map, after I was "volounteered" by Flakt).

4. I'm afraid the only TG game I currently play is this.

5. Not really.

6. While a couple of my friends were in the military (and one of them also did a couple of tours in Bosnia and Afghanistan), I have never been in the Army and as such all my knowledge comes from what I have read and what I have been told.

Hey guys,

I've been looking for a serious place to play tactically since the day I got the original OFP. The tournaments I've been in are nice but persistent. I found you guys before but now that Jimmy told me about you (in AtoW) I decided to sign up and give it a go.

1. In-game Name- Hitman (I only put the DK tags to the forums because someone nicked my normal nick

2. Any group affiliation? (Previous Clan)- Dragon Knights (can't post url), CF-Arma, AtoW.
3. Any experience with Armed Assault and/or Operation Flashpoint? Yes since 2001.
4. Are you active in any other games at TG? No.
5. Any interest in mission editing/scripting? No.
6. Any real world Military experience? Yes, FDF as a conscript and then later on as a trainer/drill Sgt.

Also a quick question: Is there a place I could find out the scheduled event times? Also do you normally play in american times? I'm from Finland and that might cause a problem to me. Thanks in advance.

I'm glad to see so many people finding their way to the forums.

@#DK#Hitman: We have allot of European members in TG arma, most of them are British and Swedish, so you'll find plenty of people to play with at euro times.

There isn't a schedule for events, they normally are organized when the admins have time, but they are mostly at Sundays 2000/2100 GMT.

I've been involved to varying degrees in organized play in BF2, PR, and now ArmaII. My online home is legionofsparta.com, but I am interested in expanding my opportunities for organized ArmaIIgames in the TG/semi-simulator fashion. Of particular interest are some of the creative custom missions I briefly tried last night.

I have no military experience, and I approach online mil-sim as just that, a fantasy role-play game. I enjoy the cooperative element and the ability to play in both supportive and offensive roles from game to game. I am reasonably proficient with vehicles and have rudimentary SL experience from PR and ArmaII in public servers and private tactical games.

I had heard of TG shortly after beginning in BF2, but I did not give much throught to joining the forum until the recent PCgamer article prodded me through the door. I look forward to playing with y'all soon.

5. Any interest in mission editing/scripting? I've only dabled in the editor, and gave mission making a shot but I guess I have a serious case of ADD because I can never seem to finish one lol

6. Any real world Military experience? Yes, 4 years US Navy 2000-2004. Stationed on an old DD that was falling apart around us lol

well like I said I've been playing at SimHQ for the last few years with Arma/Arma2, and just wanted to broaden my horizons lol
I've heard about TG for a while now, but just never signed up for some reason; but finally made it and hope to see some people on the servers!

I'm known as bravo 6 in BIs forum and in game as well.
Since i can't post url's here yet, the ones who want to know have to look.

Loved the OFP era and i would like to find similar feelings in here too. Been missing the old days.

1. bravo 6.
2. Bravo Company - BC.
3. Played OFP for several years, ArmA and now ArmA2.
4. Played once in TG Bravo.
5. Sometimes.
6. Only psychological.

ps- yesterday sent an mp for alpha server password. Can someone inform me of the pass please?

Welcome aboard! The Alpha server info is all in Team Speak. Just set it up (instructions here) and you should be ready to rock!

May i ask if there is an alternative download link for the TG mods, instead of using Yoma's automagical AddonSync?
I like and prefer the old fashion way.

2- Not affiliated with any Arma 2 clans
3- I've been playing Arma 2 for a few months now, i have always been into shooters for a LONG time. I love more realistic ones like Red Orchestra and Arma 2.
4- I've never really played on any other TG servers.
5- I would get bored fast of mission editing. But i haven't tried it yet...
6- No real world army experience, don't really plan on it either.
