A Fine round o'Fallon (er, 'Fallen')
We had a fun round earlier tonight, and I was running with a great squad: Ikonic (5th), tHa_KhAn (12th), Doc (Irr), G-Nizzle, and Real_CaGeD.
As the Germans, we capped trenches first, then moved to the crash site to cap that. Our squad then proceeded to effect a defense on both of those flags for most of the round. (We did have our other squads pressuring the north cabin and running interference down south of our flags, so that gave us lots of space to work with...)
We kept moving with relative ease between the two flags, repelling attacks as they came. Ikonic did a great job keeping his SL alive if I fell over, and I can't say enough about Khan defending the trenches... I had him there (mostly alone) for a lot of the round... I intended to have him as my buffer against the enemy from the south, but he turned out to be a bit more than a buffer.. Many times, he'd call out the danger and have the enemy mostly dead before we got there to help... Real Caged did a good job as SpecOps D on both out flags as well.
It was interesting how we dealt with the enemy attacks: for the trenches, the Ukes would attack from the south- southwest, and G-Nizzle and KhAn would give us enough of an advantage on first contact that it was a fairly simple matter for the rest of the squad to come in and re-secure from the north... On the crash site, the Ukes would come in from the north cabin and Doc and Ikonic would lead the hook in directly behind them from the northeast... These patterns repeated themselves enough to give us a pretty big win for round's end.
A great round for the Germans and props to our team and the mighty Parakeet squad...
