It seemed like the start of a great round. We were on the German side, and I was being lead by TG33rd SassyTXGal. We were hunkered down at "Lumber Mill" and all was quiet. We had the occasional rush by infantry in a Dingo, but were able to repulse the advances. The artillery had our number so we were forced to hold off from the flag itself. I guess the Ukrainians had had enough of our occupation, because it seemed that an inordinate amount of armor was sent to root us out.
The battle for Lumber Mill was fierce but short. We were routed and left to regroup ourselves at Outpost. We tried several attempts to assault Lumber Mill only to be wiped out by Ukrainian aircraft. That's when I got fed up. I then decided to try my hand at the mobile AA. I went hunting "hinds".
For the rest of the round, I tried my best to give our team a safe umbrella under which to assault and defend flags at will. I began a cat and mouse game with Ukrainian pilots. At one point it seemed that Ukraine pilots like Ikonic and AirArdvark were specifically hunting me for my efforts in keeping them from the skies. I feel I gave as much or more than I got.
We won the round by a fair but short margin as time ran out, and I feel I have found my niche on that map as air defense. So, pilots beware, dreah's a huntin' the skies!
