I experienced HOPE in the non TG ranks - Raid on Kerch 12/9 approx 10pm EST
After 3 frustrating maps. (SL with no orders and no VOIP, and TG squads all full, unless they were helo / air / arty squads.) I had the great pleasure of joining what would max out at 4 members (usually 3). The SL was a guy from outside the TG community (based on, me never seeing him before, online or in forums, and he wore alt tags). I'm sorry to say that I don't recall his 'name'.
GringoGrande was in our 3 man squad. I was extremely pleased with what we were able to accomplish with 3 men. I went Medic, as did the SL, and Gringo was mostly support. At one point we took the slum flag, by ourselves.
I had been having a very bad POE night, and was at my - I'm going to try one more map, and then pack it in, if it gets no better - point, and the communication, and leadership turned my evening around.
It was the first time I experienced a non TG SL accomplishing anything, or so it feels. My faith, or should I say hope, in the 'others' is renewed. I was having some issues near the end of the round and couldn't get my TG propaganda speech out to him before the round ended, but if I see him again, I will. Gringo, you remember his name?
I know, I know... I should be SL'ing and preaching the word, but I'm still fighting mouse troubles, and I can't lead a squad effectively without being able to put out signal points.

nice! yeah, I had a good couple rounds with non-TG SL's last night too!
btw... anyone else think bench sounds like one of those "Real Men of Genius" commercials?

I've been finding quite a few non-TG SLs that do a good job... "Wreckage" comes to mind... They're out there.
