AAR: 12/17 - Dnister River Valley
Dateline TG POE server ~11:30PM EST
Having just finished a rather brutal losing (pwned badly) round of "Highway To Hell" (appropriately named this night), I thought I would play it safe and join a squad run by Magonushi. Much to my surprise, he shanghaied me into becoming squad leader. I said, "WTF?" To which he promptly said, "I am not squad leading this round." He sounded quite perturbed. Who could blame him after that last round. I certainly couldn't, so I grudgingly took the reins of SL.The Beginning I had my squad move and take statue. I wanted to play it safe, so I put us on defense figuring the rest of the team was going to move on. After a minute or two, it was apparent that squad 3 was staying put, so I put us on the move for Park.Park... Part I We met pretty heavy resistance at Park. Initially we were pinned down at the house just East of the Park wall. The enemy was using their AP kits quite effectively, but my squad was using their shock paddles and smoke better. We gained the wall only to find an APC camped. We fought to bring down the gunner, In the midst of which I went down and had to re-spawn at Statue. Thankfully as I spawned I heard the wonderful news that the APC had been taken out. We rushed back to Park capped it quickly and began a run for Church. So The Running Begins We met very light resistance on our way to Church. It was then we realized that Statue had fallen. After capping the flag, I ordered the squad back to Park. Upon gaining Park, we met our entire team already engaged in a fierce firefight at the East entrance. We pushed through the entrance and worked toward beating back the enemy. By this time, we had also lost House.I Want Statue Back! On the run, I set our orders for Statue. At the flag we met resistance in the form of a Dingo, and our APC. Luckily on this map, the APC's are the people carriers without the big gun. The squad pacified the gunner and took control of the vehicle. The Dingo then ran (presumably for a different flag). We secured Statue and then set our sights on retaking House.Cap-Out? I could taste it. The enemy only had one flag left, and from the looks of the map we had them bottled up at House. I ordered the charge and we marched on House. The resistance was stiff, but not great. The biggest challenge was removing the enemy Dingo. It was then I realized that some amount of the enemy forces had slipped by. I told the squad we need to take House fast and then fall back to Statue. It took another minute or two to pacify the Dingo and cap the flag. By this time we had lost Church, Park, and Statue was neutral.Almost Over... And We're Winning! Even with the win inevitable, we made a push for Statue. The resistance was fierce. By now the entire UKR team wa at Statue. With the last UKR tickets winding down, we hunkered down to help them along. The round ends and we win 42-0.Denouement I wasn't looking forward to being SL. Especially after that hideous round of "Highway". I am glad now that Magonushi didn't want to lead. I am glad now I had the opportunity. The squad performed fantastic and followed every order given. Here's to you gents!Shameless Content Scoreboard.

Re: AAR: 12/17 - Dnister River Valley
nice recount. I called it a night early last night, else might have been in out this. I did SL this map earlier in the night. It was the cycle when some 'blah blah 1337 azul' kid was getting all crazy with the cursing & sniping (they go hand in hand sometimes.) We won the round, but I had a driving / sight problem. Rockford appeared to be wearing a nun's habit, and I got all deathrace 2000... 500 points for a nun, and ran him over. booo... I drive worse than I shoot.
anyway, In our cycle of the map... we had about 4 of us, moving pretty well. I was holding back, acting a moving spawn point. 2 of our squad kept coming in and out... I think in all we had 4 other members that came in and out of the squad during the map. Rockford was like the phantom of the Park or something. Glad you round went well, and an excellent recount.

Nice AAR, and +Rep for using 'denouement' in the correct way, with correct spelling!
