50-cal Jeep support (PR)

Last night we had a good round on "the ni", i don't know what the map is called... (qing chongni river or something). My Squad was called 50-cal jeep and we did just that, i must give extreme props for my gunner, named |TG| Flerians (this is not his real name, only a rendition) who showed incredible patience and no whining, extreme gunning skills and situational awareness.

WE started out hopping up into the 50-cal humvee, the one with all sides closed up. Our first priority was to assist squad 2 as they approached north of the US main (not air drop), we moved along their eastern flank as they approached, keeping a line with them. Eventually some enemy troops appeared on top of a hill inbetween us and started firing down on squad 2, to the west... Since we were in a position east of squad 2 already, we flanked around the east side of the hill, encountering a few enemy troop flankers and dispatching them, then rolled up around to get a view of the north side of the hill, took out about 3 more troops and a rally point. Unlucky though, squad 2 got wasted by grenades and the likes.

We repositioned on top of the hill as we waited for squad 2 to re-spawn. After they moved up on the hill we scouted forward a bit until i heard an APC near the NI, so we backed up a bit into the woods and kept cover about 50-75 meters north of squad 2. We found 2 troops after about 5 minuets and then i heard APC fire to our west, squad 2 was now afflicted with shrapnel throughout their body from heat rounds. I decided to move back again and cover squad 2's rear right flank, to act as some really fast re-enforcements / counter flanking force for them.

Then Dirt-Boy joined as commander.
First order that was relevant to me was to get the fire base up near squad 2's position.
We provided 50 cal support and a shovel as it was built... When it was built dirt boy wanted us to "go ahead and attack the ni there, i want you to hit it from the north".. so ehh, we moved forward, passing that one flag east of NI and... then for some reason i looked on the map and saw squad 2 dead and heard that nasty china fire... I couldn't just let my mates get stomped like that so i turned around but before i could we realized we had a squad to our west. We shot at them and they took cover, i told my gunner to give some cover fire and then we move out... We blazed back to help squad 2! the fire base was under attack and so were we, from all sides... My amazing 50-cal gunner was lighting um up like no tomorrow, then he took one in his shoulder and it hit a vein, he was bleeding bad. Lucky though a TG member medic was near the fire base, we stopped there, he got out and got some healing, we repaired up the jeep some then moved back north fast!

WE made it to the north side of the NI and moved along the coast line for cover. Stopping at the bridge gunner placed c-4 to blow later. we were about 100 meters north of the ni, and unspotted. We got closer and i told my gunner to hold his fire until we got spotted. We got within about 30 meters of the entrance, off to the side and held there , as dirt boi's commands, waiting for some INF support. There was none, only the sound of support trucks and APC's behind us and a buncha dead people at the south side of NI...
I saw this sniper really close to us and told my gunner to kill him, after i took a crappy shot with my rifle. He died, but then the roof of the NI went live and about 4 dudes start shooting at us. I went down... dead, but gunny jumped in the driver seat and drove back to main to pick me up! great work!

We were at about 17 kills, 0 jeep deaths, 1 death for gunny, 2 for me.
After this dirt-boi moved the fire base to the other side of the river, leaving the entire east flank exposed. Me and gunner decided it would be best to stay on that west side to keep the flank covered. Was good, we had 2 fire fights and then an order from dirt-boi to take out an "enemy ice cream truck firing on the fire base, we need you to take care of that".
Also, this gave me a chance to hop out of the truck and leave a little brown mound... Thanks for the gunner for not getting fancy on me and moving around... a true team player..

Another order from dirt-boi to attack the NI, so okay we go agian.. Die by AT round after killing about 2 guys... the rest is history.!!

Any ways, great squad mates!!! These jeeps are for more then getting you to where you need to go quickly.

Re: 50-cal Jeep support (PR)

Do you mean 'Road to Kyongan-Ni'?
Souinds like fun, I think the jeeps (Humvee's, Vodnik's, Nanjing's, Technical's) are one of the most useful assets in the game.
