Sunset City - Wednesday night 20-Feb-08, ~11pm EST
Sunset City, USMC - "6th devils"
|TG-6th|WAREHOUSE, |TG-6th|eGoatBoy, |TG|TheSenator, BLKOPS NERDS_R_COOL, 65th bottle99, |Sayeret.MatkaL|Wo|f I've not been able to game much lately, but tonight I managed a round and a half. The one full round I got in was in WAREHOUSE's USMC squad. I had a blast...an awesome time. The round opened up and WAREHOUSE got the squad organized, kitted-out, and focussed on our initial objective. The plan was to move through to Temple, cap it then occupy the high ground in C5k3...supporting any attack on Offices. The move to Temple was fairly smooth and quick, as the squad had a support truck. Once there our SL effectively broke the squad into 2 fireteams with WAREHOUSE, TheSenator, and myself moving up into the hills above Temple to set an RP as well as get L-AT coverage onto the open ground between Offices and the hills. The remainder of the squad stayed down below and assisted at Offices. As soon as we were up into the hills we were engaging multiple OpFor, and WAREHOUSE's plan to hold the hill and provide support was working out well...rockets, bullets, grenades, bandages, revives, re-arms, rinse, and repeat. Good times! Once Offices had been secured WAREHOUSE had us move out to Appartments, approaching from the south. Once we got into there it was loads of CQB, and turned into a grinder. Eventually we were pushed back to fight for Offices. The match finished with a PLA victory of 13 - 0, much to our CO's ( |TG-6th|RandyShugart ) dismay! A great, close, game though. Much thanks to WAREHOUSE for the great squad leading, and to TheSenator for the timely ammo! The Team, The Situation ![]() Target Rich Environment ![]() Our Hill of Happiness ![]() Cheers,

That hill alone can hold off the PLA for at least 10 minutes

Good point, I'd like to see the usmc co build a firebase on the high ground there instead of bothering with lower city or temple bunkers which are a naturally weak position and cause of their continual defeat on this map
The result of this game sounds a bit disappointing, you gained the flags instead of losing them like happens most of the time on this map Despite that, it just comes down to KDR and because you fought uphill despite obviously being the better team you are declared the losers. BS imo, I'd be telling my squad well done we won and the map is biased personally, so you get ![]() Its widely acknowledged that score is no way to judge a player, ditto for the ticket system & team imo, its an indication at best Last edited by Sabre_Tooth_Tigger; 02-23-2008 at 05:33 PM. |

Nice movie! we actually looked like a fine-oiled machine there, moving in formation and holding those chokepoints! I was actually quite upset with myself after we lost...I think we could have won had I made a more conservative decision to hold that east flank and stay out of apartments! but oh, well...it was great fun.
Great squad with great players... While most players think I am short tempered and bark a lot... the reason is players like you. I have never ever found myself frustrated with guys like you and Nerds in my squad. You anticipate squad needs very well, and I never have to ask for the "common sense" type things. Medic goes down, you get his kit and revive. AT in squad, you spawn in ammo without asking. Rally goes down, you are the first to notice & are already moving to SL's position. More and more "obvious" things like that and many more advanced tactical decisions that some players just don't have the intuition to make. Squading up with guys like you has unfortunately raised my expectations for other players, so I will tell them it is your fault next time I lose my temper and scream, "don't drive the humvee off of the freaking bridge!" or "OMG pick up our medic's kit and revive him!" Thanks for the flattering post! As I've always said, great squad members can make any squad leader look good.
