POE - Guardian - 2008/03/31 ~ 10:15pm EST
Squad
The Initial Idea As we prepared to deploy, I informed the squad that we would be the spearhead of the war effort at the forefront of the battlefield. This meant holding Re-Education Town. I called for at least 3 ATs and 1 Support. I would be the squad's medic. Here We Go As expected, we met with heavy resistance as our point was on the main road leading out of the German base of operations. We were relentlessly pounded by artillery and German jets. For a time, we kept the German artillery bottled up. A small German force got passed us and secured Guardian Checkpoint along with its armor assets. That force then began to assault us from the rear. We were repelling armor from the main while guarding against infantry from the rear. This did not last and in the end we were finally forced to make a hasty retreat to Comm Station. At the least, our efforts tied up the main bulk of German armor and allowed the re-capture of Guardian Checkpoint.Let's Get It Back! (nah) We made one attempt to make our way back to Re-Education Town. We were met on the road by German armor that made short work of our Jeep forcing us to hunker down at Comm Station.Comm Station Our CO called for a stand at Comm Station & Guardian Checkpoint. Our squad was called upon to hold Comm Station. For a time the German assault was light as the Germans attempted to break through at Guardian Checkpoint. With their advance thwarted, the Germans turned their attention to Comm Station. They came at us with 3 tanks, 1 APC, jets, and choppers. The mayhem was nigh, with the bodies flying high as our footmen scrambled to take down armor and tame the skies. We repelled every advance, but the toll was high. With reserves dwindling, the camaraderie shined. Every man calling out admiration and encouragement with every blow delivered to the enemy. We kept each others spirits up and survived to tell the tale.Dénouement We held off the Germans and the day was won, if only by a slim margin. That night, we dressed our wounds as we toasted each other on a job well done. The Germans were repelled this day, but we knew the war was far from over. We will worry about tomorrow, when tomorrow comes. For tonight, we are the victors and that is good enough for me.Shameless Content

Re: POE - Guardian - 2008/03/31 ~ 10:15pm EST
We were holding re-education for the longest time, but we eventually got flushed out by a heavy frontal assault with infantry, aircraft and arty. My sole purpose in the the defense of this flag was to take out the Arty piece in their main. Even though I was shooting into the uncap, I was only taking out the Arty that was shooting out. Our squad made a valiant attempt to hold but having almost their entire team attacking us was extremely hard and we lost the flag. We soon fell back to the Com Station and we held that flag till the end. I jumped into the arty and was shelling the enemy infantry assaulting the checkpoint flag and the rest of the squad did a superb job fending off armor.
Kudos to that squad and the rest of the squads I had the in other rounds. GO SPICEGIRLS AND BUTTFARTS Squads
