Saturday night Fallen 64
I wanna give much thanks for my squad mates on the late night round of Fallen.
Corporate, Dirtboy, Marstein, Dali, and Alphi awesome job!!! These guys are the definition of "watching each others back".
We started out as UKR at Lumbermill. We defended there for a split second before moving North to the river with little resistance.
We pushed hard on North Cabin and capped it rather quickly. I set my squad up to defend that flag but we were unable to hold it for very long.
At that time, we lost Lumbermill.. Thats when it became fun..
We spawned CrashSite and moved west back to Lumbermill. It seemed my squad was doing everything right, smoking the flag and hitting it with bodies causing it to flip fast. We capped that flag and moved straight north towards that river and put on what i thought was an awesome stance. Project and his crew kept giving us a battle right on the northern front. We had them on bleed for much of the round but it was the whole teams cohesiveness that made it funtastic. Each UKR squad had a flag and when one went down it just seemed there was reinforcements there to react and recapture.
Oh well you guys get the picture.. I think im getting the SL bug
.
Special thanks to Dali for hanging back at Lumbermill watching the flag while i gave my squad a nice and tasty spawn point.

Yea that was a great round.
HiTest put us right where we needed to be the entire round. We kept meeting Project and a few of the 3dgn guys around the river NW of North Cabin. We where able push back several waves coming from the N Cabin. We owned the area between Lumbermill and N Cabin most of the round.
Great job to Hitest and the rest of the squad.

That round went great for our team- we had the the Germans fairly locked down. My squad did a nice bit of work that round as well- DirtyBerd, Ishotcha, H4H8, Summer (a 'new' guy that really did well!) and another player who I can't remember right now, sorry! I didn't get any screens...
We were primarily zone-defending that lower right triangle, and the guys really had some great firing lanes built up for most of the round. Holding that discipline pays off...
Lots of fun rounds tonight all around.OPS, the bacon is on you.

I rejoined this about 10 minutes in after taking a short break for about an hour.
Spawned as UKR and joined the 6thMD squad, had a blast, <3 Fallen.

That round was a blast!
I swear, I think I was killed by project 10 times
. We were constantly "duking" it out in the woods north of crash site. Well done to the entire UKR side. We held them to the 3 flags almost the entire game. There were some exceptions though...they would back cap us but we were soon to respond with some stellar attacks and brave revives!
Well done!

Re: Saturday night Fallen 64
It was fun for sure! Thanks to the efforts of the other squads we were able to hold Crash Site for most of that round which was kind of amazing in itself. lol However Pirate, I still think the German medic gun is better than the UKR one.

While the round was fun, I think the Carpathian map after that may have topped it. Personally I find the close battles to be more exciting and for that one the Germans (my side) were beat by 5 tickets!!! Doh!

I wish someone would post about what it was like to be on the German side.

Bernout, were you running a N-NW defense on Crash Site? It just seemed to me that my squad was pushing the germans, coming from North Cabin, right into The 6MD at crash site.

Re: Saturday night Fallen 64
Snarlin was running it. We had some northern defense until the Germans got North Cabin and that flag to the east (forget the name). At that point we tightened it up around Crash Site itself since going north seemed like a death sentence. lol Dirtboy mentioned his squad was operating to the north so maybe that's who you saw.

Scary and I watched the recording last night. I suggest you guys check it out.
The Ukrain held a "clean" front line formation for 80% of the round. Nice leadership from SL, with performing units!
AWSOME!

Re: Saturday night Fallen 64
Wasnt that great on the german side, think we lost by alot on that round. I was in namebot squad defending the trenches wich was our only consistant flag. We tried couple time to get crash site but only managed to briefly capture it once.

Re: Saturday night Fallen 64
Held Trenches with a death grip and rigged with demos for any trespassers. Sent my boys out to try and assist other squads assault surrounding flags, with little luck. Best part was setting up a kill zone ~60 yards SE of crash and mowing the enemy as they came to that side of the chopper. Think my guys were getting antsy, but since we lost all but trenches a couple of times I figured we better hold onto it.

Re: Saturday night Fallen 64
As Bern mentioned, he talked me into running the squad that map. I'm not a big fan of SL'ing Fallen, as I feel I'm mostly running around like a chicken with no head just simply trying to keep the spawn point active...nowhere to run to, nowhere to hide.Bernout, were you running a N-NW defense on Crash Site? It just seemed to me that my squad was pushing the germans, coming from North Cabin, right into The 6MD at crash site.
That being said, I was very satisfied with the length of time our team was able to hold Crash Site. It was mostly a matter of not getting out too far and letting 'em come to us. Oorah!
Edit: Also very satisfying getting Saitcho out of his damn tank and being able to kill him at least once or twice.
We were simply slaughtered the round prior.
