Cyclopentasil0xane & friends destroy US forces with attack helo (114 kills!)

Nice job on the MEC attack helos tonight, wow! I would love to hear more details from your squaddies, you guys were unstoppable! At one point we even went out looking for you in the US apache, but you head-shotted me right out of the pilot seat @ 600m and my poor gunner crashed to the ground, lol. Well done.

Re: Cyclopentasil0xane & friends destroy US forces with attack helo (114 kills!)

Yes, and all it took was 30 minutes of standing around main bickering like girls while the US walked away with the map. I'm sorry, but I dont find kill counts impressive in the face of ridiculous smacktardism.

I really dont care if it offends anyone. I'm a hairs breadth away from recounting the experience on the BFR and reporting every single last person involved. I saw people stealing vehicles, ignoring commander orders, camping main and fighting for helicopters, and being general idiots all before I got fed up and quit. That is inexcusable, regardless of the outcome.

If you want to play like idiots, go to another freaking server.

The MEC team was in just as sorry shape as the US team was...

Re: Cyclopentasil0xane & friends destroy US forces with attack helo (114 kills!)

I was on the mec team. Thats the problem. When Nardini and I quit, there were a grand total of 12 people on the team NOT standing around main and at least 4 of them were dead. The US had already taken both bunkers completely unopposed save the two tanks that our squad took at the beginning. We had enough time to drive from the MEC airfield to B1, then almost all the way to US main, then to the hills over the bunkers, have a tank battle, die, respawn and chat about what a tragedy it was for at least two minutes before we left. The entire time, randy was trying to get the team to move, but nobody listened. It was like a freaking pub. Ridiculous. Absolute worst game I've EVER played on our server.

Re: Cyclopentasil0xane & friends destroy US forces with attack helo (114 kills!)

The MEC team lost their commander and didnt really have one for much after that.

It was just good use of a few key assets, I think the tank squad got like 6000 points so must have been doing something good there also.

The heli was operating with alot of ground intel and laser targets, ie. the opposite of engaging with hydras, he couldnt even see his kills most of the time. Its more powerful then the a10 when used right.
US did great at first.
I said to my squad just 20 mins into the game, have fun in the heli because the game is over in 15 minutes but seems the deal was not quite closed

For the record, members of cas squad were first on the flag at south village and also drove to south bunker but were destroyed by a tank guarding it. That was 20 mins in pretty much

Good thing to do on kashan is spawn as engineer and grab one of those engineer trucks if you need transport

Sounds like there were perhaps many new players on?

Well, at the end of the day, Kills count your attack, defence, and teamwork scores.. (how many of your friends didnt die because of your kill)

Teamwork and such is a question of opinion. But who is really to blame?
The guys doing their job (well, might I add) in the ATTACK heli? Or the people standing around once that heli has gone down saying and thinking things like "I can do better"?

I doubt that IRL the army/airforce takes turns with the assets...
Begining of the round, pick a job, do it. Someone beat you to it? Adapt and cry about it later.

Oh, and reserve assets via Commander.

US must have really sucked.. One guy and an AA kit is all you need to ruin a Havoks day.

Re: Cyclopentasil0xane & friends destroy US forces with attack helo (114 kills!)

Yeah - we sucked....

We couldn't move an inch exposed without being torn to shreds by the havoc, and fire would rain down on us in the bunkers directly over our heads.

Beyond people constantly fighting for assets, crashing the apaches on the pad, getting banned for being idiots, sitting in the main and not defending flags, we did just fine.

Not so sure I like the over abundance of armor on the new Kashan.

Re: Cyclopentasil0xane & friends destroy US forces with attack helo (114 kills!)

There just weren't any squad leaders... this was my second round of PR in a LONG time, so I wasn't going to start a squad. At the start of the round, there was one "6th armor" squad, a 2-man "transport" squad, and a 4 man CAS squads. Then for almost 2 minutes, almost 20 people stared at the squad screen waiting for a squad to be created.

(I got lucky and someone dropped out of that 6th squad, so I was able join for a bit.)

Re: Cyclopentasil0xane & friends destroy US forces with attack helo (114 kills!)

I saw the havoc shot down three times, first was by the other heli. The AA missile from that is lethal as it has less time to travel

Second was an AAV which was destroyed by laser guided hellfire 1 second later

Third was just one guy with a kit I think it was or maybe at a firebase.

Other attempts were made, there were lots of aa vehicles but if flares are used right it cant lock. The helis do usually go down in 5 or 10 mins for that reason plus others, but this was just well used this time.

Does the barbed wire 6 feet from the helipad still kill it instantly for example?

Shame that the US team was apparently not great because that really wasnt the reason for the heli success imo. The greatest threat was the apaches, Warehouse said he did try so that sounds fair competition to me

The tanks at outposts were moved to spawn at main bases I think

Is this dejavu? Seems to happen every single time a new Mod version appears. People come crawling out of the wood work and play like they did on Vanilla. After a month or so the idiots start to leave realizing they can't just be their normal asshat selves and slowly by surely the play quality starts to rise back up to normal levels for PR and the TG server. The problem of course is the veterans putting up with these crappy players for that long just to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Should an attack chopper not be killing people? This thread was started by someone on the opposing team.

Looks like BigGaayAl stuck around for the rest of the round. It was late at night for me, and I left after there was pretty much no armor left for me to put a wrench to.
