    Jabal Oktober 28 USMC 16 - 0

Just had an epic game on Jabal. All the regulars were there and there was a lot of back and forth with the game ending in street firefights and an assault on the MEC main. I thought I open up a thread in case people want to post on that game. Also kudos to US medics who prolly saved the day for US.

    My boys:

    |TG-X|Turkish
    |TF21|GloryAndPain
    elemanoel
    |TGXV|Bullseye
    |TG-X|caffeine

    Our story:

Initial deployment was to East Beach via |TG-Irr|Sonic and his rock-solid huey skills. We took the flag without incident and received our two supply crates, so we built a bunker there. Began deploying assets (HMG positions, wire, sandbags) and got most of it constructed when we began to receive fire from a MEC squad that took position in the hills to our east.

We returned fire with grenadier, H-AT, a few well-placed TOW shots, and lots of other toys. We had the ammo advantage with our two crates, and Sonic brought us a present every once in a while to keep us going. We certainly gave a lot more than we took and keep the MEC squad pinned down. They would return fire, but it was mostly ineffective with the exception of a well-placed H-AT shot on the TOW emplacement. We refused to leave the position to protect the bunker in case we lost dam and were forced to defend the beaches.

Once both humvees spawned in on the bunker, we elected to make a push to bridge to assist there. We engaged one or two vodniks and were trying to get a L-AT shot at the apc roaming over the bridge and dam, but never really got a clear shot. During this time dam went neutral and we tried to relocate there to assist. By the time we were in position to do anything the other USMC squads had regained control of the flag and we were free to assault Jabal Al Burj. During this time the bunker at East Beach was lost to the enemy.

As we were maneuvering toward Al Burj, we flanked an enemy squad over-looking the bridge flag and assisted in taking them down with the .50 cal on the humvee, then we raced into Al Burj proper. After a couple of close calls with a MEC apc on patrol, we managed to get into position to hide and begin neutralizing the flag.

We almost had it capped when the MEC team brought reinforcements to the city and thwarted our flag cap with the flag at about 95% in our favor. What followed was a pitched battle in the streets where we played cat-and-mouse with the MEC apcs and got into several firefights with the MEC infantry there. On more than one occasion we lost our rally and everyone in the squad with one lone exception: caffeine. As luck would have it, he was our squad medic and he saved our bacon. Just phenomenal work on his behalf.

We finally were able to push north through Al Burj and came across an enemy fire base and rally point near the gas station. We took down the fire base (shown in the picture) and eliminated MEC resistance in Al Burj while our other squads delivered a JDAM square on their main to seal the victory.

It was one of the best matches I've had on Jabal in quite some time. That map has such great potential for epic fights, you just need to throw in some teamwork and it can be one of the most even maps in PR!

Great job to my squad, the USMC team, and also to the MEC team. It was just a fun round to play.

I was with Cougar (SL), we took a raft and landed on west beach (so on the other end of you guys ^^) . We seized the beach and made our way to dam where we built a FB.
On dam we encountered stiff resistance. I called in the APC over chat and sure enough as it pulled up next to me it got blown to bits by HAT and I got wounded by the blast. The enemy set up an FB to the East of dam. However it were just too many to overwhelm and take out the FB.

After we got wiped out we reinserted between Dam and Jabal in the mountains. From the mountains I approached knifed the undefended FB as the rest of my squad pushed torwards Bridge. I hung back at dam to see if it was clear, however enemies were on it. It was lost to neutral and after taking out 2 enemies there wasnt too much resistance and some squad won it back.
On my way to bridge I noticed the FB had been rebuilt which I knifed again. At bridge we encountered a lot of resistance again but managed to clear the enemy off the hills (so it was you guys with the 50 Cal ). Bridge was won and lost a couple of times over with the apcs and us grunts fighting over it, but eventually we seized it and moved on to the main city.

There we had to fight house to house and street to street, but since we took cover rather well incoming enemies didnt give us too much trouble and after a rather long period of time we gained the flag. The only major incident was the unlucky set up of an FB between the city and bridge which was taken under fire by hostiles who took position in the hills.
Torwards the end of the game the enemy tried to push from the north again and made its way to our positions, where I almost ate a lat round, which luckily denotated outside the house.

As the tickets dwindeled we tried to play even more defensively. The round ended about when we heard the distant rumble of a jdam strike.
