Re: TG vs. TTP - Kashan Desert (32) 11/16
Thanks Shadow we had a great little APC squad going thanks to Cougar and you guys. Bandaid to answer your question Cougar's squad also went infantry briefly at one point, we got destoyed outside south bunker, so Dis and Cougar threw us in with the infantry to bring a few more guns to the party. I picked up about 10 or so kills there as well as a grunt.
Seriously you gotta love the G3. I was at the front observation room of south bunker and TTP were in and around the opposite bunker. Thank you H&K, BOOM HEADSHOT, MEGAKILL! From that position the M16 does not stand a chance. I personally had a whale of a time, fantastic game, just gotta love killing our enemy!TG PR Admins: Fighting for YOU on the frontlines in the War on Stupidity.

Re: TG vs. TTP - Kashan Desert (32) 11/16
Alas, I never killed a TTP member all round
Although watching wicks and shadow fling bodies in the air with our APC's makes up for it I guess.
We did good out there.
Roll out went well and that's always my biggest concern
TS chatter got a bit high at times. Also in saying this I believe that more "information" could have been passed through TS. I do think we tried, but if I had to nit pick, I think our weak point for the round would be Team Speak chatter. The CO is there to facilitate important info for the squads affected. We could try and ease off team speak except for squads that needs to be in constant contact.
-Armor (multiple tanks)
- Mech Infi / IFV
- Forward Air Controllers
-etc
Just a suggestion
Its OK, I'm not bitching. I had a great time and will fight along side each and everyone of you again. I could be wrong about all this, my squad was kinda in our little air conditioned bubbles while the infantry fought out in the heat. I might have missed something.

Yeah, our BMPs had that new central air system the MEC just installed on their vehicle fleet (except Vodniks. heh heh). Was very nice. I even had a drinkholder.

That G3 was nuts. I remember that one, Wick. You were just pecking away from the second floor observation window and called out "Ha! Just headshotted that guy across the complex!"
He was standing and firing single shot. I think you were iron sighting, right? Those rifles are sweet.|TG-AIR| - Gone, but still awesome! **Proud Former Member**

Re: TG vs. TTP - Kashan Desert (32) 11/16
I have to fess up I had a scope but after that guy got a third eye I headshot the medic went to help him lol, I was so excited I forgot how badly I wanted a cigarette. I know its a bit wrong but I do get a perverse pleasure in shooting the medic who's tryin to help the guy I just wounded! Obviously just because of the tactical advantage it gives us.
Before that we had some sport headshotting the opfor in the opposite bunker, they were prone in the bunker opposite at the doors on the right hand side as we looked across. First the saw guy shuffles out sideways, then a guy with an M14, then another. It was like one of those dodgy fairground games except instead of being stuck with a crooked air rifle you got a 7.62 beast. Hilarious, couldn't believe they kept trying it.TG PR Admins: Fighting for YOU on the frontlines in the War on Stupidity.

Re: TG vs. TTP - Kashan Desert (32) 11/16
Found this on TTP's boards:
WTF is he talking about? To my knowledge, we rammed once and that was when Pwn3ge had to leave the scrim. I don't know of any other incidents that we've intentionally rammed any vehicle with a chopper, and in this case specifically we did it after they used two perfectly healthy blackhawks to take out our tanks. One of their guys claimed that we did it 20 (yes, TWENTY) times! This is BS obviously, because we don't play that way, and frankly I'm starting to get a little po'd about this whole thing now.

Re: TG vs. TTP - Kashan Desert (32) 11/16
Correct, I did order this.
I also gave pwn3ge the go-ahead to take out a bradley in similar circumstances (advancing on our main) before he had to disconnect.
So, 1 ram in the entire round when they wasted numerous assets attacking our main.
Seems to me as though they should focus on the flags in play rather than cheap kills all round. We hit their main once, and that was to give us time to assert control over the bunkers without worrying about their apaches. That was the only time we went after their main the entire round, and it was a strategic decision to do so. It obviously was successful and did exactly what we hoped it would - helped us win the match.
This is pointless and quite frankly bordering on childish at this point. There is nothing in the rules about suicide attacks nor ramming, and we did it once, so what's the point?

Seems like they don't like the fact that we can use their own rules against them......

Re: TG vs. TTP - Kashan Desert (32) 11/16
I probably shouldn't have brought this incident up on the TTP forums, but I just find this style of play very much against what PR is about, and after watching that video which displays in great detail the very calculated suicide ramming tactics, it does effect the PR teams outlook on how to reduce the effectiveness of these tactics in the future, especially if this is used often on public servers.
To me personally, its NEVER an acceptable tactic to ram any aircraft purposefully on an enemy vehicle. It's obviously not possibile to control players behaviour on the servers, but it IS possible to limit the usefulness of these tactics and we'll be looking at ways to do this in future versions of PR.
