To me personally, its NEVER an acceptable tactic to ram any aircraft purposefully on an enemy vehicle. It's obviously not possibile to control players behaviour on the servers, but it IS possible to limit the usefulness of these tactics and we'll be looking at ways to do this in future versions of PR.

I'm curious now as to how a real MBT would stand up to something like a UH-60 hitting it at 100kts. Certainly, the helicopter would be reduced to a crumpled pile of aluminum and the post-crash fire would be fatal to any survivors of either crew, but would the tank be catastrophically damaged in initial impact?

I'm dragging yet another thread into OT world, but I found this:

[Dmitriy] Loza, in Commanding the Red Army’s Sherman Tanks, reports an attack by 6 suicide planes on his 46th Tank Brigade, 6th Guards Tank Army, near Tongliao, Manchukuo, in August 19, 1945. One truck was destroyed and a Sherman was damaged.

Even more than that, what pilot in their right mind would crash a helicopter into a tank? And don't anyone draw a comparison to Kamikazes - small plane into giant ship in the middle of the ocean is not the same as a helicopter into a small (relative to the ship) tank.

Is there a way to heavily penalize a pilot for ramming a vehicle without penalizing him for loosing control and hitting a mountain or something, or is it all under the same thing in the coding?
