    Operation Archer 3Pm PST 11/24

This was one of those oh great archer is next. This was an exciting round. In the beginning the Insurgent team was assaulting the US main then they began to send forces to the high hill. They set up a fb there and was hitting us pretty hard. The squad I was in Led by |TG-Irr|_Elemanoel and squad members |TG-Irr| WarPig1292, |TG-X| WarLab, [NM]RoTTen, and Almightylion. We decided to assault up to the top of the mountain. Our first At temp we went up using the grapple hook. WarPig held the grapple hook, WarLab had an enemy sniper kit, Lion had the RPG, and Elemanoel had his SL kit. We began to move our way up. It took a long time to get everyone up and a working hook. As we finally made it near the top i began to take some screen shots of the view from the mountainside.

Soon we had arrived at the top only too be taken out by a grenade and some infantry fire. We had barely made it too the crest. After tons of laughter and fun we decided to make another go at it. We respawned back at main and took a car back up the hill. We soon found out that there was an easier way to get to the top. A rope bridge. We began to walk across it only to see WarLab be taken out by a humvee with an AA kit that was lost. We began to keep going and hoping Warlab could catch up.

    Rope Bridge

    Squad Leader on bridge

On our way up we decided to take a Squad pic (Without Warlab because he was a failure and died )

We made it to the top only to find no infantry and a firebase with 3 crates on it. We destroyed the firebase and set up our defense. We took many shots with the RPG and killing com trucks, Infantry, and humvees. We had tons of fun up there until A few of us died due to infantry fire. We headed back up with an AA kit, AT, and squad leader. We set a hideout up and took out a few choppers. We Began to get assulted heavily by infantry but with a few RPGs and IED charges we took out their rally and defended heavily. We ended up winning the round 60-0 Insurgents Winning! Feel Free to add your battle stories

even beter... if we didnt die, we probably wouldnt´have got the AA
the bad part... once we made the HIDEOUT SMURFS came and eaten ower AMMO ... but that is a diferent story

Re: Operation Archer 3Pm PST 11/24

My squad consisted of six people:

    Fireteam Bravo (Support)
    Officer - crawlingeye
    Medic 1 - Ed_Ru$h
    Medic 2 - (Forgot name)
Rifleman 1 - Unedible (Did also act as Auto.Rifle. and Rifleman AT)

    Fireteam Alpha (Flank)
    Rifleman 2 - Awesome_X
    Rifleman 3 - Tibu

At the beginning of the game we started to sort out our fireteams and formations that would be used during the round. We also assigned a point-man (Awesome_X). After everything was sorted we moved out the east gate on foot en route to the eastern village.

Approximately 400m east of the base we encountered a single man insurgent patrol that was armed with a PKM. BRAVO quickly put a base of fire down while ALPHA flanked around the south of the enemy. The whole firefight was over in a matter of seconds and we received one friendly fire casualty.

As we moved further east I thought it would be fitting to rehearse our formations. I called out Wedge formation, but the squad didn't know really what to do so we stopped and worked out everyone's positions.

We came up to a hill approximately 500m South-West of the village, we gathered intel on enemy presence and possible weapon-cache locations.

Once we had gathered enough intel we went further east to a better location where BRAVO could set a base of fire. We found one and set up camp.

When BRAVO was ready ALPHA moved out toward the village. I ordered the to search the two story building on the east side of the village.

They found an insurgent hideout behind the building and they took it out. ALPHA reported that they had been spotted so I immediately ordered BRAVO to hit priority targets that we had pre-spotted.

ALPHA got taken out while covering the central two story building, moments later BRAVO got killed by a bomb car.

We regrouped on the RP and gathered some more intel, the firefights had started to kick in in the village and we decided to head north to set up a base of fire on the western houses.

On the way there we encountered an enemy technical that took two of us out, but luckily we had a Rifleman AT in the squad that crushed the car like nothing.

When everyone had healed up we advanced in a line formation toward the housing area. We met hard resistance there and had to fall back due to a casualty.

When we had gotten out man up again we encountered yet another technical that our Rifleman AT took out.

We moved around to the northern part on the way to the northwestern part of the village.

Once inside the village we encountered and killed a hand full of insurgents without any casualties to our squads.

I love comical events like these when you look at the BFR.

They had rebuilt the hideout and BRAVO went to destroy it while ALPHA cleared some buildings.

Both weapon caches in the village destroyed so we called for an airlift to main to rearm and de-briefing.

Mission success! with 6 deaths and about double the kills

Some definite silliness that round. Too bad it wasn't a bomb car when we hit that chopper !

As for failure... I know War... but we were having fun
... and it was way fun roping our way up that mountain too.

Ya we were laughing as we went up... I just had a great Idea... A race to the top of the mountain as a tg event. no shooting just pushing people off of the mountain
