    AAR EJOD - 2/17/09 - 2pm EST

Firstly, I just want to give a big thank you to my squad during this game (and previous game also a some of them stuck with me). I implemented my three fire team setup and it ended up working pretty good with those who got assigned together, which is always a hassle to explain sometimes and find someone willing to take a lead or understand the concept.

    Thanks goes out to:

    Dark_Derk_Steel
    cpt. capper
    Huracan24
    KillerPeti
    Laxentis

You guys all worked very well together and helped make the squad enjoyable.

The match was pretty even throughout and, to be honest, I was surprised that we won it at the end. Then again, I was also surprised by the fact that our K/D ratio was 50ish/30ish considering there were a few times that we got wiped. My fire teams were: Dark and Laxentis, Hurcan and Killer, and Myself and Capper. This seemed to do a good job and it also helped that all of them were in my squad the previous game (or in my squad a previous time) and knew how I liked the squad ran.

I started off by trying to get to the North City to orchestrate an ambush near a particular spot. This worked out wonders last night (for the 30 minutes the server was up my squad did an amazing job and for those that were on it.. thank you too. I wish we could have finished that game together), so I was hoping to do the same. We ended up getting into the city late and ran across a mean opposition on the east side. I'm assuming it was the same squad, as it seemed every time we bumped into them on the east, they were on the rooftops. My squad did a great job of coordinating with themselves to provide multiple directions of fire on a particular attack spot, but eventually we went down.

On reinsertion into the city, we found a FOB to the north and made our way (though in a very difficult fashion) over to that area. We finally took it down after running into a squad and then having to re coordinate our objective, but our rally went down and so did my fire team (thanks to the MEC rooftop villains), so eventually we were cleared out.

Finally, last insertion into the city we took on the east city rooftop villains and ended up wiping them clear and making a big push on the North City spot (the original area where I wanted to go early in the game). I can remember specifically my fire team running on top of a full enemy squad and having one of the other fire team's take out a few infantry from behind that were shooting at us. It's always a good feeling to watch a good flank destroy an enemy squad and your squad leaves unscathed. All and all I felt we did a great job and I hope to see a lot more of these guys (and people like them) back in my squad. We did end up getting the 'squad on the US side with most points' recognition, even though we never built anything (which I found slightly strange). I also remember seeing cpt. capper with the most points on our team also. I guess we had some good medics. =)

Note: The attached SS shows my squad and the current positioning we were taking on the attack marker. An enemy squad was on the rooftop with some scattered on the ground. Although Lax is wounded, he was right next to Dark on the left side. We might seem a bit scattered, but we're really only 100m away from each other and aiming at a single objective from different angles. Scary, I know.
