After un-stupiding myself, I finally got 0.856 installed last night!

I managed to get on around 11pm and play for 90 minutes or so... Not sure the map - it was a big city, with the US starting on the South and 'convoying' into/around the city? Thought the map-name started with a B, but I don't see any B's on the map-list?

Anyway - I started on US side in Warehouse's humvee. We were the last vehicle in the convoy as we made our way east along the southern border of the city, to eventually setup shop in the northwest. Of course, after the 10 minute ride, I was killed instantly. Not by enemy fire... no I my first KIA was due to warehouses jeep twitching sidewards (on perfectly flat ground mind you) and crushing me against a building. (Note: this would be the first of MANY deaths that evoked a "I'm down! And I have NO idea what killed me" response. )

I respawned about 300m away from the squad and started making my way to them. Of course, as I'm just about to reach the edge of the buildings, where my squad is, another humvee comes flying over a dune behind me and kills me!!!!! So, after staying awake through a 10 minute virtual commute across a featureless desert, and dying twice before I even saw friendly boots on the ground, I couldn't help but laugh...

The rest of the night was painfully funny like that.... it was a truely noob night for me. Thanks to everyone for putting up with me. Especially Spitfire, who I accidentally set on fire with a moly...

Heh... speaking of which, I'm no longer allowed to play with fire: I burned myself to death by walking into my own fire!! (in my defense, there wasn't any fire rendering on my screen... I chucked a moly into a room... waited... didn't see any fire so figured it glitched out or something. I then go in to clear the room and die)


Anyway... I got my kill! I shot one guy! That was enough. That's all I wanted. I'll be back
